CREW Blasts Pelosi Endorsement of Unethical Murtha for Majority Leader
Washington, DC – Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) questioned soon-to-be House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) commitment to eradicating corruption with her endorsement of one of the most unethical members in Congress, Rep. John Murtha (D-PA), to be Majority Leader of the House of Representatives.
Rep. Murtha was listed in CREW’ report Beyond DeLay: The 20 Most Corrupt Members of Congress (and five to watch). As reported in the study and by the news media, Rep, Murtha has been involved in a number of pay-to play schemes involving former staffers and his brother, Robert “Kit” Murtha.
Eight incumbents in CREW’s report lost their races to ethics issues.
CREW’s report can be found at www.beyonddelay.org.

To be precise, Murtha is NOT on the 20 Most Corrupt Members of Congress list.
He's on the list of 5 runners-up,
along with 4 Republicans,
including Denny "the World's Largest Speaker" Hastert.
This is not to excuse any trangressions he has committed.
Why isn't Harry 'the Land Flipper" Reid on either list?
Readers of this page might think Reid is the Dem's answer to Delay.
If a major newspaper published an article about this list,
including all names and party affiliations.
Would that be left-wing media bias?

I wondered the same thing about that site. Harry Reid was absent and he has to be one of the better thieves in DC. Who else could get rid of endangered species and rights of way with a click of the pen?
It was only coincidental that he made a mill on the scam, said his mouthpiece.
Where was Jefferson, Democrat from Nawleans - the one with 100 k in a freezer that tricked the national guard into forgetting people trying to swim in the waters to get him to his house to rescue his freezer.
I to, would love to see the roster of the delay site.
They sure seem to like republicans.

Don't you worry. Now that the corrupt Republicans are out, the nation's eyes will be turned towards the corrupt Democrats. The scandals will continue, I assure you!
