Does it seem to you that the news is going along with a sort of a hum, as opposed to a buzz? Or maybe it's me. I get this feeling everyone is waiting.
Waiting for the new Congress in the political realm ... waiting for the Baker Report on Iraq. Maybe we're all taking a collective breath before we rush head long, mouth open into the Holidays!
I've just been surfing around listening to music. I was listening to Albert King playing Laundromat Blues off my hard drive and started looking for him on You Tube. Plenty of stuff there. Then I came across this version of Little Wing by Stevie Ray Vaughn you might like. It can't be embedded, so here's the link.

Last year they released a dvd of SRV's 1982&1985 performances at the Montreux and his renditions of Ain't Gone 'n' Give Up On Love and a duet he did with Johnny Copeland on Tin Pan Alley that were simply electric. The 1982 version of "Dirty Pool" wasn't so bad either.

Maybe it's the ubiquitous feeling of let-down after manic activity. But you're right about the hum and the wary feeling of anticipation. Or maybe I should have said 'weary feeling'.
I time-travel through the holidays, so that's not it for me.
