Kerry Meant Precisely What He Said

Old, yes, but entirely indicative of how John Kerry, the elitist Liberal, still thinks. And if you compare these statements of his from 1972 objectively, you'll appreciate that much of his posture on the war today fits precisely into the same view. So, any denial from him that this isn't relevant is bull.

WASHINGTON (AP) - During a Vietnam-era run for Congress three decades ago, John Kerry said he opposed a volunteer Army because it would be dominated by the underprivileged, be less accountable and be more prone to "the perpetuation of war crimes."

He called our current troops terrorists because he believes they are. It is precisely what he predicted they would be in 72. He says Bush is not accountable, again, entirely consistent with his objections to a volunteer Army in 72.

Kerry's positions haven't changed, nor has his disdain for our volunteer military. When he lied on IMUS yesterday he was covering up. But he did affirm all his previous statements, including those from the 70's. We are left to conclude he stands by this one, too.

He did his bit, as I said, to build some cred, and pushed paper cuts for Purple Hearts so he could cut and run ASAP.

And now the all too imperfect non-war hero is off in the brush hiding, again. I hope he's safe at home, assuming the kitchen holds rice. Lord knows a pile of rice can be a dangerous thing with Kerry's around.

"I am convinced a volunteer army would be an army of the poor and the black and the brown," Kerry wrote. "We must not repeat the travesty of the inequities present during Vietnam. I also fear having a professional army that views the perpetuation of war crimes as simply 'doing its job.'

"Equally as important, a volunteer army with our present constitutional crisis takes accountability away from the president and put the people further from control over military activities," he wrote.

Okay, let's take this very slowly. Who is in Iraq currently, (besides Iraqis)? Your mother? Condi Rice? Rosie O'Donnel? No. The Troops. And Lurch has a history of saying horrendous things about the troops. So any reasonably intelligent person can put 2 and 2 together.
You see, the "joke" doesn't make sense if its a slam on Bush because Bush not only got better grades than Kerry at Yale, Bush is better educated than Kerry. He went to Yale, Harvard and even his prep school was better than Kerry's. So... the "joke" isn't funny, doesn't make any sense, and now that he was called out, he reluctantly posts some forced apology after his pals re-wrote his speech to back up his excuse. Get it? We do.
