"Many of those races will be finally decided by what you do in the time between now and the closing of the polls," Sen. John Kerry, back from a self-imposed hiatus, told supporters at his Web site, JohnKerry.com, late Monday.

Translation: It couldn't possibly have anything to do with something I said late last week, right? Unfortunately, it had to be typed as Chuck and Nancy aren't letting John out before the polls close out West.

But my favorite finding from the final pre-election Pew survey concerns John Kerry's disparagement of the education of our troops:

Most voters say Kerry's statement is not a serious consideration in their vote, but 18% of independent voters say it did raise serious doubts about voting for a Democratic candidate.
