Bloggers Versus The AP

One theory I have on the mosque attack in dispute between bloggers and the AP is that it could have been being used as a bomb factory in between prayers. It was alleged to have been one before in a story I linked yesterday. If another accident happened and the occupants were killed and burned in that manner, they may have come up with the attack story to cover it up. All they would need would be a bogus or friendly policeman to corroborate it for the AP.

Gateway Pundit points out that an imam involved with the potentially bogus six burned bodies AP report has a very questionable past.

At the Al Tuheed mosque, congregation members accused Dr Al-Dabash of having served in Saddam Hussein's secret police, and of having recently studied in Saudi Arabia, where, they said, he was imbued with the Saudi's extremist Wahabi Islamic doctrine.

One of the items I linked yesterday pointed him out as an extremist.

Someone at lgf claims to have a letter from our military stating the Iraqi government's position is that the AP source does not exist.

I have just learned from Mr. Costlow, mentioned below, that Brig. Gen. Abdul-Karim Khalaf, the official Ministry of Interior spokesmen, will begin his regularly scheduled press conference at noon tomorrow with a statement that Capt. Jamil Hussein, is not a Baghdad police officer or an MOI employee.

Hot Air has a video vent by Michelle on the topic here.

Making bombs in the church? Maybe they were nuclear or bio weapons and the guys stopped them because the church is the wrong place to make bio weapons and burned them just in case? Where's Plame's pal, Dr.WMD?
