Why bother to report on the Iraq War accurately when simply putting out enemy propoganda from bogus sources will do?

Dear Associated Press:
On Nov. 24, 2006, your organization published an article by Qais Al-Bashir about six Sunnis being burned alive in the presence of Iraqi Police officers. This news item, which is below, received an enormous amount of coverage internationally.
We at Multi-National Corps - Iraq made it known through MNC-I Press Release Number 20061125-09 and our conversations with your reporters that neither we nor Baghdad Police had any reports of such an incident after investigating it and could find no one to corroborate the story. A couple of hours ago, we learned something else very important. We can tell you definitively that the primary source of this story, police Capt. Jamil Hussein, is not a Baghdad police officer or an MOI employee. We verified this fact with the MOI through the Coalition Police Assistance Training Team.
Also, we definitely know, as we told you several weeks ago through the MNC-I Media Relations cell, that another AP-popular IP spokesman, Lt. Maithem Abdul Razzaq, supposedly of the city’s Yarmouk police station, does not work at that police station and is also not authorized to speak on behalf of the IP. The MOI has supposedly issued a warrant for his questioning.
...
Very respectfully,
LT XXXXXXXXXX X XXXXXXXX
Lieutenant, U.S. Navy
MNC-I Joint Operations Center
Public Affairs Officer

Not only is Capt. Hussein bogus, but another source the AP has used extensively is bogus.

You need a new playbook.
The idea that the media is making things in Iraq look worse than they are is over, done, it won't fly anymore. Your boys ran that ploy into the ground...you can't sell it anymore to anyone but the nutters.
Oh wait, that's your prime readership, nutters who want to nuke the entire muslim world.
Forget I said anything.

hmmmm....."nuke the entire moslem world"......y'know, i think that guy's really onto something here! what a great idea!
especially when contrasted with the left's signature "we can't beat them; they're too tough; let's just hope they leave us alone" strategy. it's always instructive how the same LW weenies who'd gleefully charge into battle with christian fundamentalists - if there were any out there whose religion specifically called for the subjugation of women & homosexuals - (news flash: there aren't), but when faced with ISLAMIC fundies who actually DO beat women and hang homos, they suddenly fall silent.
odd, that. the only difference i can see is that the islamites will actually shoot back. making the left's reluctance to engage them....can we still say "cowardice" these days?

Actually if the media wasn't 100% behind Islamofascism there wouldn't be any need to "nuke the entire Muslim world", it would simply crumble under the weight of it's bloody and barbaric self.
Personally I think we need to "nuke" the NYTimes, AP, Reuters and everyone else who decides to make up the news, use nonexistent news sources, and publish faked photographs to further their own agenda. Then the MSM would simply crumble under the weight of it's own lies.
