Do you live in New York? If you don't, what do you care? What goes in New York City is clearly different than what goes in other places.

Seriously, Riehl. You may want to stop commenting on gay issues altogether. I'm not sure if it's because you're a closet case or what, but boy howdy does it ruffle your feathers.

As for New York, just leave us the hell alone. But hey, if you want to visit I'll take you see Cats.

For Riehlz, yo.

Everyone is talking about gay marriage, gay rights, and if they're not talking about it, they're listening to all the news channels talking endlessly about it. The blogs are rocking with the issue as are most of the states of our union. Is Dan just supposed to abstain so he won't insult tender sensitivities? As if he does in the first place? Get a grip. As far as transgenders using ladies rooms, I'm sure it bothers guys far more than gals. So what? I mean... so what? You want them in your mens' room while you have your tiny wanker in your hand?

Dan,

There are contradictory statements: 'The legislators are abdicating their responsibilities' vs. "courts all over the country have shown their fondness for stepping into that vacuum ". Which came first? Sounds as if the legislators created the vacuum, and if that's the case, I wouldn't call the courts stepping in to fill it a 'fondness'. More like they have no choice sometimes. But no doubt it all has to be fixed.

seriously, you guys should be happy about the courts stepping in- you never would have gotten your Premier Bush without them! so you gotta take the good with the bad. as far as i can tell, gay marriage and transgendered bathrooms are a small price to pay for the awesome achievements of President Bush.

Whew!! Thank God you brough this vitally important story to the attention of the American people. Naturally, the rest of the liberal media simply ignored this incident, in favor of such trivialities as Iraq, North Korea, Congressional pedophiles, the midterm elections, and Dick Cheney hunting endangered species and feeding on human young.

Um, hey. why aren't same-sex couples entitled to the same basic rights of opposite-sex couples?

Same sex marriage...whats next, people marrying animals?

Ah, the progression of humanity....give EVERYONE what they want to get votes

see- this is what happens when you let the liberals loose. if it were up to them, it would be the boys with the boys and the girls with the girls all the time. why do you libs want to create a gay nation? a gay nation cannot fight against islamo-fascism. a gay nation cannot reproduce, and will hasten its own demise. a gay nation is simply, well, gay.

John,

That is the most ridiculous generalization.

I swear, I honestly think if we piled up a bunch of people from both parties, we'd find more agreement on this issue than disagreement. This stupid political divisiveness is creating an impenetrable fog over human nature, and it's to the detriment of our country. The imperatives of human nature too often take a backseat to politics, and that sucks.

"whats next, people marrying animals?"

You leave Fluffy out of this!

I think transsexuals are probably safer in the ladies' room and the MTA is trying to avoid unnecessary violence.

I agree, Linda. For one thing, women aren't threatened by this kind of thing ....
