Evidently Barack Obama felt compelled to relate how after he shook Bush's hand at a White House meet and greet, Bush washed his hands afterward. Apparently a very common practice in politics.
If I'm not mistaken, some post Clinton era books suggested Bush's predecessor often showered, or should have after some of his more noteworthy White House meat and greets.
Speaking of washing one's hands, apparently Right Wing Sparkle is washing her hands of blogging.

I was extremely moved by Right Wing Sparkle's essay. Everything she said was quite profound, but a few things, of which I've been through lately, were especially poignant. It did me good to read them even if it hurt.
Thanks for pointing it out.
