Homophobic? Sure. Good luck convincing anyone that's the case. And you better be careful, it might alienate the religious right.

This is the new Dan.

Not at all like the old Dan

Oh well, he was for outing folks before he was against it.

OK let's check this national defense issue. 5 years ago 19 Saudis hijacked a bunch of planes and killed more Americans than have died in one day since Shilo. They did this for largly religious reasons. The Republican President in charge uses this as an excuse to attack a completely unrelated country on the strength of their being almost the same religion as the Saudis. In the mean time he lets the man responsible for planning and ordering the attack, another Saudi, get away because he's busy attacking a secular dictatorship in order to fight against religious terrorists.
He then gets reelected by smearing the military accomplishments of a decorated veteran in order to get re-elected as the "war president". And somewhere along the line actually manages to loose the war he sarted for no good reasin with the uninvolved secular dictatorship.
AND NOW YOU WANT TO CALL THE OTHER PARTY WEAK ON NATIONAL DEFENSE?

I'd say you got that about right.

Scary, ain't it?

I suppose if there had been another terrorist attack or if there is another terrorist attack on Bush's watch it will be blamed also on the Democrats for tying his hands by trying, in vain, to force him to abide by that ancient and irrelevant document called The Constitution and prevent his minions from using torture on anyone they suspect of harboring sympathy toward terrorists.

I would laugh my ass off if I was reading about this debacle in a history book and say the idiot public that re elected him got what they deserved. Unfortunately, I am living through this low point in American history not reading about it in the hopefully better future where the freedoms our forefathers died protecting would once again be the law of the land.

"killed more Americans than have died in one day since Shilo."

For others who have no idea how to spell or make a historical point, Shiloh was in Apr 1862 about 3500 were killed (they were not still dying five years later). For early Civil War battles that wasn't much, esp considering Grants murder of 7500 men in 45 minutes at Cold Harbour in 1864. Also far less than D-Day, Iwo Jima and others.

The rather talented historian is correct about going to war with Iraq. Shouldna, period. Of course, if the previous administration had done ANYTHING to protect us, maybe the planes would not have hit the buildings.

don't try and rewrite history, bush never ever said anything negative about kerry's service in the navy.
kerry, aka the traitor, smeared himself in 1971 when he meet with the enemy in paris (along with some other juicy antics).

well kate that is to say, ask any person in vietnam and cambodia, they didnt see well probably 80% of their 'team' back, you know what YOU will say when 80 procent of your family, friends, far friends, wiped out eej i will say THAT IS NOT RIGHT.

"Oh well, he was for outing folks before he was against it."

Referencing the gayness of an openly gay person of longstanding is now "outing"?

Liberals are such absloute morons. davebo, you need to find some brain food, stat. Fish, Blueberries, broccoli... Load up on 'em, brother.
