I don't know what is more funny, that the idiots haven't won anything yet and the WaPo and the Dem Leadership can't control themselves beforehand, making the party of partitions look like precisely what it is, or that if the nation gets a look at how the idiot's leadership is composed, they don't have a prayer of taking the House. And even if they do, it isn't clear there are enough non-kooks and crooks to govern.
As I mentioned here and Instapundit and now Volokh expand upon, Alcee Hastings would be the likely choice to head the Intelligence Committee. I suppose we should just forget that he was removed from the bench for possible criminality, something that doesn't happen all that often.

She'll need two leashes and a muzzle to keep the Congressional Black Caucus and the Blue Dog Dems from tearing one another ... her leadership ... and Democrat credibility apart. Maybe the conscience of the Liberal Senate, Byrd, can visit the House to try and keep things in line, so long as he remembers to not wear his robe.
Waxmen, Hastings, Rangel, Conyers, Frank, Dingell, Obey and a host of other useless idiots would be the face of the Democrat Party ... hmm, maybe that is what America needs to see leading up to 2008. If anyone wants to tank the prospects of the Dems this year, it would have to be Hillary Clinton. If the idiots in the Dem leadership spend the next two years in front of the cameras, she and any other Dem aspirant in 08 can kiss the Presidency good bye.

Good, bad or indifferent, the only thing that comes close to good organized political judgment in America today is the Republican Party. Despite their faults, God save America if people stay home and throw them out.
I've been a south Floridian since 1986 (when Hasting was still a judge), and watched closely the whole scandal that ensued. It was very clear in the local newspaper coverage of the time that Hasting had in fact been bought by drug dealers and their associates, or was at the minimum, quite willing to be bought.
The man is an absolute disgrace. I fear for the nation with one of such corrupt character as him heading the intelligence committee.
