I hate to have to say it, but Santorum and Allen have probably put up the worst big ticket campaigns I've seen this year. If either one or both win, it'll be despite the campaign.
I'd hate to see Santorum lose even if he is to the Right of me in some ways. But he strikes me a good man. We need good people committed to a range of positions in government. And Casey strikes me as a typical politicians kid riding his old man's coat tails and nothing else. The guy can't even state a single position clearly. If nothing else, PA could prove the best man does not always win.
Back to Allen, if he loses he has no one to blame but himself. The Latest Rasmussen poll showing him down by 5 may well just be an outlier. I wouldn't put too much stock in it until we see additional polls. But he should be leading by double digits.
Rasmussen Reports just released a Virginia Senate poll showing George Allen trailing by 5 points (with leaners). This comes on the heels of a poll they did just last Tuesday which showed Allen up 2 points (with leaners). That's a seven-point move in less than a week. Without leaners it is only three point move, but with election day a week away, leaners very much count.

Where's Nat??
