Could ownership of certain entities lead to a profound bias in new media? On the one hand, yes, it appears it could. On the other hand, things change so quickly today and people can click in to where they want, I doubt there's as much to fear big picture as it might look now in certain respects.
That we're already discussing it in theory is proof that new media works when it comes to entertaining various views.

Last week, the e-behemoth offered to purchase YouTube, the preeminent provider of videos over the Web that has recently been implicated in censorship of its own.
