The headline blares Grave warning to Rice from Tenet two months before 9/11. Of course, if you read the story, he didn't know how terrorists might strike, or even if they would strike inside the US. And a bulk of it was comprised of what even they call voodoo, or a gut feeling.
Great, but hardly the kind of thing for which you just up and invade Afghanistan the next day. This piece of garbage paper should just put a large D after its name and be done with it.
On July 10, 2001, two months before the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, then-CIA Director George J. Tenet met with his counterterrorism chief, J. Cofer Black, at CIA headquarters to review the latest on Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda terrorist organization. Black laid out the case, consisting of communications intercepts and other top-secret intelligence showing the increasing likelihood that al-Qaeda would soon attack the United States. It was a mass of fragments and dots that nonetheless made a compelling case, so compelling to Tenet that he decided he and Black should go to the White House immediately.

It's election time and it's time to hit the Rep's hard if you are in the establishment media.
Speaking of presidents being warned, are there not hundreds of warnings that the intel community knows about each day, including one in the 90's showing that IRAQ had plans to hijack plans for terrorist attack in the U.S.?
The DOD's Eleanor Hill testified about the Iraq thing to the 9-11 commission.

Woodward is an interesting character. He was in the White House, when he was 27 years old. He was dressed in his Navy uniform. And, he made eye contact with Mark Felt. Since nobody really knows how homosexuals connect, you can all go draw your own conclusions. BUT NOW THAT WE'RE POST WATERGATE, it might be worth noticing how Mark Felt fed Woodward the information that took Nixon out.
Woodward wouldn't be the only homosexual, once he got a leg up in DC, to continuing his "baiting" practices.
Tenet's no friend of George Bush. But then the president fired Tenet, and instead of just giving him a swift kick in his rear end, he pinned a Medal of Freedom on his lapel. (Was this like putting a muzzle on a viscious dog?) I think so.
Meanwhile, we're in an election cycle where, if I had to guess, I'd say the donks are down. And, they're using all their dirty tricks, now, hoping to gain an edge on November 7th. With the same old, same old, MSM, claiming the donks are heading to victory. Go ahead. Believe what you want. If this was WW2, you'd be told Hitler was gonna win. And, FDR would still be sitting in a chair. (Hitler, in fact, committed suicide. And, FDR had an unpleasant marriage.)
After FDR died we got the 2nd rater, Truman. The real talent, Douglas MacArthur, could not pick up milage with the Chase Manhattan boys, the kakafellers. So in 1948 John Dewey was chosen by the bankers. (That's why bankers make loans. They're not businessmen. They can't really swing product. But they make their money on the margins. And, John Dewey didn't bring glory to the GOP.) It would take Barry Goldwater, whose Arizona roots really spelled doom for him as a candidate, to circumvent the kakafellers, in 1964. He lost to LBJ. But things have definitely NOT been the same in politics ever since.
Which just proves we live in a state of flux.
Before the Internet, the MSM got away with a lot of mischief. They don't seem to have a handle, though, on how to defeat so many opinions let loose on the scale of the Internet. Even George Soros' money couldn't stop us.
Up ahead? TIME MAG/RAG is saying that Karl Rove knows how to "get out the vote." ANd, this may lay all the plans the donks are doing; similar to Dan Rather's wasted 2004 efforts, to similar losses; especially in swing states.
As DC just gets swampy-er. I can't imagine Hastert has much respect, now, for the donks in Congress. But we shall see. It's always easy to pay lip service to anything.
But this turn to dirty politics? Wouldn't even pass Nixon's smell test.

So Carol, tell us about Roves October Surprise or the left movement's own mid-October surprise to have government workers stage a work sit out to oppose the war in Iraq?
Dirty tricks indeed!

Oh, Skyboxx. You don't need me!
I found the TIME/MAG/RAG article headlined up at Drudge. In it, it is being reported, that Karl Rove pours over election data results by district.
He counts how many voters GOT to the polls.
If you remember, in 2004, some democrapic operatives, with box cutters, went out the night before the election and SLASHED THE TIRES on the buses that were designated to drive people to the polls.
Why bother? I just use a US Postage stamp. (It's turning into millions of others who would rather vote from home. And, then mail in their choices.) Not so long ago, these ballots would go uncounted. IF the winner was so apparent it wasn't necessary to turn over every rock. And, count every vote.
But the donks, with Pelosi leading the parade, her rag held high, seem to be worrying a lot over winning anything at all. And, not just getting stuck in minority status. But losing more voters. (Like Hugh Hewitt said, you just can't still this thing if the stuff doesn't remain close.)
Does it surprise me that FOLEY IS NOW THE BAIT being used to dirty Hastert? (Even though as things in the HOUSE go, Hastert's big. Fat. And, generous.) But this is politics. IN THE SWAMP.
Can Woodward go the way of RatherGATE? It all depends on how you invest the words "TO GO." Because Woodward sits high at the top of the Compost Heap. And, just publishing a book that bombs doesn't necessarily affect the dynamics of his job.
Plame flamed out.
Today, Clarice Feldman thought the donks could hire Patrick Fitzgerald to "look into the Foley mess." Since he's capable of missing the political angle, altogher. On the other hand, do you think taxpayers will come up with the millions?
While Rove's not in charge of IRAQ! OVer there, it seems Rummy's way is actually WINNING. Maliki allowed a CURFEW in Bahddad, that netted the new Al-Kay-da chief. As he was plotting a massive car bombing of mostly Shia stuff. But with a political Sunni attached to this. WHo know shrugs and says "he knew nothing."
So, instead of clever surprises, you'll see business as usual.
Rove will GET OUT THE VOTE IN DISTRICTS THAT ARE IN SWING STATES.
For all we know, by the way, DeLay IS STILL ON THE BALLOT in his district in Texas. Should be a hoot to see this race brought home.
Should be a hoot to see how Leiberman handles his win. Lamont's toast. And, George Allen is also polling well.
Just because dirty tricks are used, doesn't mean the donkey's getting ahead. The symbol's a jackass. FITTING.

"the left movement's own mid-October surprise to have government workers stage a work sit out to oppose the war in Iraq?"
A "sit-out" would be considered a strike which govt employees are not allowed to do. Remember PATCO? If air traffic controllers can be fired, then GW will have no probs giving secretaries a very, very long stretch of LWOP. Let's git 'er done, the dead wood needs to be trimmed.
