FLASH: McCain Calls On Kerry To Apologize
Tue Oct 31 2006 11:43:14 ETSenator Kerry owes an apology to the many thousands of Americans serving in Iraq, who answered their country's call because they are patriots and not because of any deficiencies in their education. Americans from all backgrounds, well off and less fortunate, with high school diplomas and graduate degrees, take seriously their duty to our country, and risk their lives today to defend the rest of us in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere.
They all deserve our respect and deepest gratitude for their service. The suggestion that only the least educated Americans would agree to serve in the military and fight in Iraq, is an insult to every soldier serving in combat, and should deeply offend any American with an ounce of appreciation for what they suffer and risk so that the rest of us can sleep more comfortably at night. Without them, we wouldn't live in a country where people securely possess all their God-given rights, including the right to express insensitive, ill-considered and uninformed remarks.

The longer that Kerry is around....the bigger jackass he becomes.
The arrogant piece of crap.

I can't believe he planned and executed the Iraq war so poorly. The Democrats are going to pay for their failed foreign policy of the last 6 years.

Jaime,
If you can't put politics aside to denounce Kerry, you're no better than he is.

As the statement reads, it looks like he said something really dumb and he should apologize. I have yet to see it in context.
But the outrage seems incredibly manufactured. You've spent three posts on this? You've called for him to be arrested for treason and shot. You huffed and puffed but it just seems like you're jingling your key to keep the cat off the couch.
Meanwhile the people who have botched Iraq from beginning to end gets a free pass. The people not in charge (who aren't allowed to add Amendments to bills or even bring bills to the floor) get your ire.
George Bush thinks not finding WMDs is a joke. He calls Iraq a "comma". Yet your energy is spent scapegoating. If you distract people's anger towards John Kerry then the actual policy makers escape accountability. This quote and the attention paid to it is Dan Riehl's two minute hate.

jaime who is filling your head with "Iraq war is failing and a disastor? That's right the liberal democrats are telling you that and John Kerry is basically saying he is better than anyone in Iraq because he is educated. John Kerry is so full of himself he doesnt see anything wrong with what he said or he would not have said something so stupid. Liberals tend to do that alot. The speak their mind and then have to backpedel to cover their butts. I would love to see a poll on how many soldiers in Iraq have a college degree. I would guess a good many but who really cares. Kerry and many other Liberals are now almost anti american and only a fool would put someone in power like Kerry. Jaime have you ever talked to a soldier who has returned from Iraq? I doubt you have or you would not be calling this war a failure. I have family members in Iraq and one that returned home recently. The young guy told me that the media is not telling the good things US military is doing for the Iraqi people. He said the media want to dwell on the few bad things like prisoner torture at abu garib or a few suicide bombers. I just wish for once Liberals could hold their tongues until our men and women came home. I am sure that will never happen because then the liberals would have nothing to talk about and show how anti american they are. If Liberals dont like the US policies why dont they move the hell out of this country and leave the people alone who do like the policies. Brent

Let's not forget the freshly painted schools, Brent.
I'm not filling your heads with anything tinkerbell. No matter how hard you clap, those 100 troops will still be dead. The chaos will still reign and George Bush will have no other answer except "stay the course"
"Jaime have you ever talked to a soldier who has returned from Iraq?"
Yes. Last thanksgiving. Fought in Fallujah. He wanted to go back for one more tour because he needed the money. No talk of schools or spreading freedom, just surviving a few months more.
"I just wish for once Liberals could hold their tongues until our men and women came home."
Liberals forced the body armor issue. Liberals forced accountability on uparmored HumVees. Liberals made a stink about 8 BILLION of your tax dollars going unaccounted for. George Bush has made it clear that victory is staying. Our troops will NEVER come home unless people make noise. I'm sorry you're in the pathetic 30% who think the war is going swimmingly and victory is just around the corner if liberals would just shut up.
The people YOU voted for engaged in and botched this war. They have been given all the money and resources that they ever needed and still 3 troops die a day and 100 Iraqis are blown up or beheaded. Instead of putting the blame on the people YOU voted for, John Kerry is your scapegoat. Good little Bolshievik. Good.

I have a fairly educated brother who spent his full term in Nam as commander of a swift boat right about the time that Kerry did all he possibly could to weasel out of his full term in country.
It isn't a matter of educated vs uneducated but a matter of character and sense of responsibility.
Kerry is a stinkin' coward and his arrogance should sicken every person who calls the USA home.

You're brother should be superproud of our war hero president. Saving Texas from Mexico; His daddy saving him from fighting along side the suckers who actually fought in a war they believed in.
Kerry fought. Kerry got shot at. Kerry risked his life the entire time in country. George Bush was lucky not to have drowned in a puddle of his own vomit is Alabama.
You are actively supporting a draft dodger. At least Clinton had enough balls to avoid a war he disagreed with. It takes a special type of coward, Like Bush, Like Cheney, to be a gung ho cheerleader who's too chickenshit to fight.
