For two years Democrats have been maligning our troops. From Jack Murtha calling them murderers, to John Kerry calling them terrorists. Kerry, being the politically tone deaf fool that he, simply couldn't keep his mouth shut for another week and the damn has broken. The anger being seen on the Right just now isn't simply political posturing before an election. Perhaps some of it is, for some. But it doesn't matter. It is the pent up frustration with Democrats who now have a history of troop bashing that has caught up with them, courtesy of John Cut and Run Reporting for Duty Kerry.
McCain was on Fox again tonight laying into Kerry and he wasn't buying any of Alan Colmes BS. Amazing of all, Michael Barrone, not known for his partisan spin, was also incensed and called Colmes defense of Kerry ... well, incomprehensible, to put it mildly.
Let the backlash which may have begun with recent Dem bragging begin. Take this one below CO-5 out of the toss up column at RCP. Heh! And Kerry's outrageous comments hadn't even broke.
Republican Doug Lamborn has opened a lead in the surprisingly contested race for Colorado's 5th Congressional District, signaling a possible backlash to projections of a big year for Democrats.
Lamborn leads Democrat Jay Fawcett 47 percent to 40 percent in a poll of 400 likely voters conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. for The Denver Post.
Allah's been updating here. It's crunch time and it looks like all bets are off, this is going to be a week of all out political war. And most of the top Dems are in hiding for fear of being revealed as the Libs that they are. Wouldn't you just love to Chuck the Schmuck Schumer try and defend Kerry?

I think dems have to face the real possibility that Kerry is a RNC plant.

What happened to the Jim Webb backlash? Whenever Dan Riehl calls backlash, I call Bullshit.
CO-5 is supposed to be an untouchable Republican seat. 2 weeks ago, according to Survey USA lamborn was up 13. In 2004 The Republican Hefley won with 65% of the vote and a now a 7 point lead with a polling sample size of 400 is what you're shouting to the rooftops about?
The numbers are not on your side, so keep up the "John Kerry said something stupid. Vote Republican" cry up. I'm sure THAT'll work.
And don't you know, you're not supposed to use "Cut and Run" anymore because Bush has "Never Been Stay the Course"

Jaime, Blog critic, democratic operative....
You give Dan an awful lot of credit for being able to sway the country. This blog is not the biggest. I mean, just so you know. It has nothing to do with Dan.... no way... I love him. It's just that if you really want to put your passion to some good use where the people are a bit more committed, shall we say, try DAILY PUNDIT. They'll love you,

Dan Riehl's voodoo stats where a 7 point lead in a 66% republican district is a great thing isn't fooling anyone.

Seriously, you should visit Daily Pundit. It's a bunch of guys who talk the talk but can't walk the walk. I know you could teach them something.

So you dispute the statistics?
Is a 7 point lead with a MoE of apx. 5-6% in a 66% republican district good news?
Your assesment is pure garbage Dan and it pisses you off that you got called on it.
