It ain't over until the moonbat sings ... and they're singing a very ugly tune ten days before the election.
An important piece on polling today via Michael Barrone documents some of what has been expected all along. It's difficult to rationalize the suddenly larger number of self professed Dems many pollsters have been using in their models. What happens if they aren't there?
In 2004, the electorate that went to the polls or voted absentee was, according to the adjusted NEP exit poll, 37 percent Democratic and 37 percent Republican. In party identification, it was the most Republican electorate since George Gallup conducted his first random sample poll in October 1935.
But most recent national polls show Democrats with an advantage in party identification in the vicinity of 5 percent to 12 percent. Party identification usually changes slowly. Historically, voters have switched from candidates of one party to candidates of the other more readily than they have changed their party identification.
Here's a special treat for some ... Jimmay Carter's son is getting beat. I didn't even know he was running for anything.
RENO, Nev. (AP) - Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., continues to hold a double-digit lead over Democrat Jack Carter, according to a statewide poll released Sunday.
As for the moonbats screaming ... check out Memeorandum. They're only now realizing that many of the candidates the Dems put up are moderate to conservative and will be looking to push back hard on the Liberals if they get elected ... such incredible insight these moonbats have.
This breaking now has two benefits for the GOP. In the last week of the election the Dems don't want to be mending fences within the Party. But they have to play moderates on TV. A de-energized base does not help their cause on the ground, many of the most Liberal Dems tend to make up the ground game, as well as turn out to vote.
Add that to the GOP's GOTV efforts and, hopefully, fewer dead people voting than usual ... and the moonbats might be singing, but it isn't over yet. I guess it takes a fat lady after all.

I'm predicting a high turnout among the corporeal challenged this year. It may be the democrat's only hope.
