Politics is a nasty business. First, ABC claims Boehner is distancing himself from House Speaker Hastert.
ABC's Teddy Davis reports: In a radio interview with 700 WLW radio in Cincinnati, House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) placed responsibility for the Foley matter not being handled properly on House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL).
Not long afterwards, he just happens to get mentioned in this US News piece that suggests Hastert only has a day or two to get things under control according to a Republican political strategist.
Hastert aides and the speaker himself have shrugged off the calls to quit, noting that now is the worst time possible for the House Republican Caucus to face a leadership race. But if that were to happen, it is likely that Majority Leader John Boehner would move up a notch. He has gone out of his way to distance himself from the Foley page affair.
Ol' Denny must be looking like a potential meal ... the sharks are starting to circle.

Congress should abolish the page program immediately and then go back to work.
