I'd go easy on Harry Reid. He doesn't like to make concessions like he did in 2000.

The lawsuit alleges Herrera and Atkinson Gates inappropriately pulled strings on behalf of the successful applicant, SB Specialities, a company owned by Sharyn Brown, wife of Jay Brown, friend and campaign fund-raiser for Democratic U.S. Sen. Harry Reid.

Ayalas' lawyers, Danny Ayala Jr. and John Benedict, agreed to drop the case
with prejudice, which means the case against Clark County can't be refiled
later, said the county's attorney, Chief Deputy District Attorney Lee
Thompson.

Two days after the Browns were recommended for the contract in July, another company owned by Sharyn Brown contributed $5,000 to Atkinson Gates's campaign, he said.

And he has a violent streak.

Her father, Landra Reid told me, “would tear up Harry´s letters, hang up the phone on him. They had a fight in the front yard.’ Reid has said that the fight ended when he knocked his future father-in-law, a chiropractor, to the ground....

By agreement, F.B.I. agents burst in to arrest Gordon at the point where Reid asked, “Is this the money?’ Although he was taking part in a sting, Reid was unable to control his temper; the videotape shows him getting up from his chair and saying, “You son of a bitch, you tried to bribe me!’ and attempting to choke Gordon, before startled agents pulled him off.

Maybe it's best that he just hung up.

The Reid story is a non story. There is no there there.

If you think Reid possibly not dotting an i or crossing a t is going to eclipse North Korea nuke tests, closeted gay perverts in the GOP or 655,000 dead but "liberated" Iraqi's you are a total nut job.

But I am no longer willing to ever underestimate the total stupidity of my fellow Americans so it is certainly possible that the Dems won't take both houses, but gains? I wouldn't count on it.

You should have saved that "terror" plot for right about now. Then all the rest of the fake 'terrorists' that were found not on planes and the explosives that were not on planes the cell phone non terrorist would have all been happening in the next couple weeks and by the time it was found that NOT ONE OF these stupid episodes was remotely connnected to terrorism the sheepified American public would have voted Republican.
