As unfortunate and bizarre as it may seem to say, increasingly, it's obvious that our only real friend in the war on terrorism is Radical Islam itself.
In the person of Kofi Annan, the UN yet once again reveals itself as a pathetic joke. Before he had even returned from Iran, Ahmadinejad was making a fool out of him by again unleashing his hateful rhetoric toward Israel, now looking to hold a symposium of sorts to challenge the Holocaust. And of course, Iran stays its nuclear course while laughing at the useless collective of world governments. One has to wonder if there isn't another Annan relative waiting in the wings to reap the windfall profits from whatever unethical deal that's been cooked up this time.
The kidnappings and killings continue, now with the added benefit of forced conversion to Islam, complemented by the latest tape - the message from which is basically convert or die.
Still, Europe is feckless, its own imported populations causing it to cower in the corner, no doubt waiting to one day be fitted for its new, full Muslim garb. Britain seems to be showing at least a bit of starch in the face of recent events, but that internal battle for the country's soul has miles and miles to go.
Meanwhile, here at home in the US, were our President even of a mind to continue to confront Islamofascism as exemplified by Iran and Syria, we likely have more citizens who would line up to impeach him, then ever support such a costly and extended war.
And so we wait.
We wait for our only friend, radical Islam, showing no signs of relenting, or even letting up, to perform its next act. Whether its a number of airliners, a stadium, city, or simply a water supply, who can say? But certainly many of us know it's coming. It will kill some large number of us and also of those who apparently don't.
One might have thought 9/11 was enough. Yet, as we approach the fifth anniversary of that tragic event, it looks less so all the time. That's a shame, but it's hard to argue it isn't true.
And all many of us can really do is wait for some group of Isalmofascists to strike and hope the next time the suffering won't be too much, but just enough to finally wake the appeasers up. It's in that sad, twisted sense that, in the end, the hate-filled, global jihadists of radical Islam are really our only friend.
