What's Wrong With The Amnesty International Report?

Amnesty International has issued a report claiming Hezbollah is guilty of war crimes for targeting civilians.

Amnesty International has introduced a comprehensive report accusing a terrorist group of war crimes.In utter defiance of the predominant American left, European and United Nations view that Israel engaged in gross war crimes against civilians and freedom fighters in Lebanon, Amnesty International has announced that in its opinion, Hezbollah is guilty of war crimes. Hezbollah purposefully and indiscriminately targeted Israeli civilians.

So, what's wrong with that? Well, nothing, really ... except, it shouldn't be such big news when a human rights group finally gets around to calling a criminal terrorist group a criminal terrorist group. When stating the obvious comes as a surprise, someone hasn't been stating the obvious enough.

But, unlike the EU and the UN, at least they finally did.

Yeah, I can remember the good old days when AI was citing Hussein as a mass-murdering barbarian and making every implication under the sun, short of direct declaration, that he should be toppled. Ahhh, reminiscence!

But alas, this too shall pass. AI will soon come to the doublepluscorrect knowledge that western nations with more or less institutionalized civil liberties who defend themselves from medieval brutes are the true barbarians, by denying medieval practices a place in a multicultural paradigm.
