Isn't it funny that during every election season we have news of a so called attack on the US? People just don't buy it anymore.

Yeah; hilarious. Kind of like how it's funny how every election cycle we have competing crises over --- health care reform, accounting malpractice, social security inviability, environmental armageddon, re-Vietnamization of our foreign policy.

Jess, sweetie, politics is about getting votes, and one of the easiest ways to get votes is by scare tactics. Whose scare tactics resonate more is reflected in who is leading the nation. It's been a while since the Democrats have led, so their economic meltdown, environmental panty-wetting, health-care misery boogeymen aren't doing the trick. They may have struck a chord with the re-Vietnam thing, but that's still iffy at this point.

Hey, if it worked for Johnson in '68 it oughta work in the mid-terms 38 years later, right? Cuz nothing ever changes.

Well, there's always that thing about the job of our government is to protect us at all costs......... jeeepers.

I don't reckon this latest scare stuff is made-up. Ignore it at your peril.
