Those semi-literate idiots are rejecting Islam's own past. What the pope said was nothing short of reasonable, and he used well-oiled rethoric techniques to do so. Techniques developed by the ancient Greeks, and improved on by Arab philosophers.

The Andalusian Ibn-Rushd (Averroes), had clearly demonstrated the supreme value of Reason over Revelation; "when revelation entered into contradiction with reason as constituted by the philosophers, it must be reinterpreted until that contradiction was resolved"...

Back then, Arabs accepted this as a matter of fact, and seldom debated it. It is tragic that, having once saved the great texts of Greek philosophy, expanded on it, and used the great thinkers to enrich Islamic though, the Arabs today are now rejecting it. Welcome to the Dark Ages.

It is time the civilized world confronted all those who are trying to put the "fun" back in "fundamentalism"; as stonings, behadings, amputations continue unabated. Christians, Jews, hindus and others are entitled to some "reciprocity"; the Pope and the Catholic church certainly have a point when they consider "that a meaningful dialogue with the Muslim world is not possible while Christians are denied religious freedom in Muslim states".

Since we can't rally and hollar and dance around and burn their flag - they have no flag - maybe we could ALL dress up in burqas and white pajamas for one day. You know...like everyone in the U.S. have one day where we all wear that clothing and say we've converted. Ha Ha Ha........... um, duh.... What now? Bush could appear on TV with his head wrapped in a towel. All the news anchors could wear towels and the female news anchors could give the news with their faces covered in burqas. "Hi. I'm Uma Pemraju. I know you can't see me, but it's me." Cops out on the streets would have towels instead of uniforms..........all those fools running around on Wall Street in white pj's with towels on their heads and notepads in their hands.... Brit Hume in white pj's and a towel.... hahahaha.... They could start his chat time with Krauthammer, Kondrache, and Barnes with an opening shot of their asses aimed high in prayer...............

When will they get over the hump?

Jeha I liked your post a lot. At this point it seems like everything is an excuse to kill or die. I can't swallow much more

I love the picture of the Muslim women dressed in their "Burqas" carrying the sign that reads: "Alas Pope Benedict Has Lost His Mental And Moral Balance"

And this coming from a bunch dressed up as Harry Potter "Dementors"?!?!

Alas, I suppose that dressing up like "Dementors" makes these buffoons "mentally and morally balanced" unlike the Pope!!! My God! Do they ever look at themselves in a mirror?!?!

What a sick joke these people are!

Althor :D

Islamists should realize, that all that compelling people with the sword, by force and intimidation, to convert, and bow their foreheads to the floor in "submission" five times a day does, is to waft the fragance of many unwashed arses in the wind!

Just think what an odorous "incense" to God that must be wafting out of the Mosques up to heaven!!!

Althor :D

You misunderstood. What the protester wanted to say, is that Islam wants to "hump" us!

Althor :P

"waft the fragance of many unwashed arses in the wind!"

Well, that's why they don't like dogs, Althor. Cold noses, you know...

Thank you for your comments Urthshu! The sad part is, that were we discussing the finding of one of Natalee Holloway's pubic hairs in Aruba, the bandwith on this thread would be bursting with comments and participation, but we Americans are so banal, our tastes are so morbid, and our apathy is so great, that you post something addressing the threat of the Jihadist terrorists who want to blow you up on your way to work, or blow up your kids at school, and you can literally hear the virtual crickets chirping in the virtual silence in the background! Amazing!!!

Althor :(

I couldn't agree more, Althor, except for one thing. That 'silence before the storm' thing with Americans. Liberty is such a cool thing because it gives us the liberty not to care, not to bother, not to notice, not to get off the couch. It's not that we're lazy - no way....we work our butts off. But we enjoy choosing what to enjoy - if it's a pube or a pub, it's our choice.

Threaten that liberty? Then it's the collective redneck juggernaut of the American will that will mow down anything in its path. It just takes us a long time to feel threatened.

I am loving what the pope did. He just made the juggernaut pulse a bit. Think of how the Italians are feeling right now. They're about as laid-back as you can get, but you sure don't want to piss them off. The Islamofundies are really pushing it now....... they'll all be like Nasralluh soon enough going..'Duh, I didn't think they'd come back fighting'.... He's toast.

A pube in a pub, a pube then a pub, a pube after the pub... it's all good.

I've had a second -- or is it third -- conversation with a left-sided conspiracist this last week. He hold that PNAC neo-cons are attempting to take over the world. When he's reminded that PNAC is a think tank and all they've done is postulated that the major threat to US economic market share in the coming century will be "emerging" nations like India and China and Brazil, and the major military threat to the US will be radical islam, and that if we are to retain market share we must address the emerging markets, and if we're to remain diplomatically relevant we must address radical islam, ... he says, "yeah, they're trying to take over the world. They wanted the war in Iraq."

No, they **predicted** the war with Iraq. I predict the Cardinals will take the NLCentral; doesn't mean I want it.

Radical islam, pan-islamist paramilitancy funded by nation-states and supported by mass muslim hotheadedness, doesn't need an excuse to wage war on the west. And as we saw last year with The Danish Dozen and are seeing this year with the Pope, they'll wrap themselves around whatever axle they can find.

"APOLOGIZE!!" I'm sorry. "NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!"

Doesn't take an evil genius to see what the main threat to the immediate future of humanity is -- and it's not global warming.

Who can imagine a world where the leader of the US for the last 6 years had been Al "Earth in the Balance" Gore? In twenty years we wouldn't have global warming. Medieval economies don't produce CO2 with their clean combustion of hydrocarbon fuel. Medieval economies produce soot with their inefficient combustion of biomass fuel. Soot increases pulmonary disease. But who cares when your life expectancy is only 45? We still get our 70 virgins, although I'd take one agreeable and amenable chick to 70 any day.

Morning piss-n-moan over.

There are two kinds of Muslims in the world, the first one are the fanatical, barbaric, murderous savages that blow up innocent men, women, and children in the name of Allah, and behead people; the other are the Muslims apologizing for them and their religion of violence and hate!!!

Isn’t time the “apologists” stop rationalizing the indefensible?!?!

Althor

the Pope had no reason to object. but for the entire christian congregation in the middle east, he had to ...for saving their lives and prevent bloodshed of innocent lives.the muslims cant deny the terrorist acts they have commited nor can they deny the fact that their fascist outlook is more horrifying than adolf hitler himself.bloodshed has been and is their motive for centuries.only a small group of literate, good muslims, who try to defend their faith at the cost of their own goodness wont be able to remove the tag which has been stuck to terrorist the world over...........that is "ISLAMIC TERRORISTS". not political nor radical but religious slaughtering machines taught by none other than the imams. dont they see the news or documentaries......God alone knows when the sons of Ismael will come to light.

Some of these signs look like "Babelfish gone wild."
Have you ever seen a foreign news article translated in Babelfish? Those are the kind of phrases you get.
