Nancy Grace Show Kills
Unfortunately, I don't mean in the ratings area. For all anyone knows, the Mother may have been guilty of something, but we may never know, now. And television isn't the forum to play this madness out.
Two weeks after telling police that her son had been snatched from his crib, Melinda Duckett found herself reeling in an interview with TV's famously prosecutorial Nancy Grace. Before it was over, Grace was pounding her desk and loudly demanding to know: "Where were you? Why aren't you telling us where you were that day?"
A day after the taping, Duckett, 21, shot herself to death, deepening the mystery of what happened to the boy.
Police have refused to say whether she left a suicide note, and said nothing they have found so far in their investigation of her death has shed light on the whereabouts of her 2-year-old son, Trenton.
Investigators have stopped short of calling her a suspect but have focused increasing attention on her movements just before the boy vanished and the notes, computer, camera and other items seized from her house.

Wow, what a surprise! Nasty Disgrace, kicked out of the court room, now berates "a person of interest" into turning her own cold hand. Imagine that.

I don't like Nancy Grace either BUT give me a break ... the media made me do it!! Talk about lack of personal responsibility. I live about 8 miles away from deceased Melinda and talk here among police ( my husband is the cheif here) is that Melinda killed herself because she was exposed for what she did. Killed and dumped Trenton's body. she's been repeatedly accused of neglect and neighbors have horror stories of her neglecr/abuse of Trenton. NO one here was surprised that she finally killed him. we were just glad that she did Floridians a favor and killed herself. She saved us the cost of a lengthy trial. God don't have mercy on her soul!

It is my understanding that this woman went and bought a shotgun before her son went missing. Custody battle gone bad. She killed her son and herself. She should have left a note telling the family where the baby was. SELFISH BI*CH!
Posted by: teresa | Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 04:51 PM
Did Nancy Grace put a gun to her head and force her in front of a TV camera?
Had she never seen the show? What did she expect Nancy would do when she lamely claimed she was out shopping but couldn't remember any of the stores and was evasive about everything she had to say??
Odds are this woman killed her own child and when she didn't get the sympathy she hoped for and basically got exposed as a liar by a TV host she decided to save herself the humiliation of being accused and convicted of baby killing so she did the world a favor and killed herself, the only sad part is she apparently didn't tell anyone where she threw out her two year old child.
Posted by: xxx | Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 04:54 PM
NG did the right thing in confronting her. She was totally boy crazy and was only interested in what was between her legs. She did us a favor in offing herself. Too bad she thought she had to off her child, too.

don't care for Nancys' style but she would be a great asset at maybe the FBI or gitmo?

Nancy truly is a disgrace. She is living her courtroom fantasies in front of a TV camera because she can go on and on with her rants without the restrictions of a courtroom. She appeals to close minded people who are obsessed with her so called "intelligence", since their guests do not have the ability to argue their case whether they have a valid point or not.
You are right about this woman not having a gun put to her head to come on the Nancy Grace show but you have to realize that if she was innocent, this would be a golden opportunity to bring attention to her distress. I am not familiar with this case, but I am familiar with Nancy's low tactics to obtain information. CNN has lost all of my respect by putting this woman on the air. She is a train wreck that everyone can't keep from watching.
Posted by: I cant stand Nancy | Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 09:33 PM
Nancy didn't make the woman pull the trigger but perhaps her guilty conscious did. Those are very germane questions - where were you the day your son was killed? Anything less would be another "fluff" interview where killers and liars come on TV and tell us how sweet and innocent they are.
An example is how the media has treated Joran van der Sloot. No one dares to ask this punk and his paid PR lawyer any real question and allow him to go ad naseum about how innocent he is while he can't even get it straight how he got home the night Natalee was killed after last being seen with him.
Posted by: Katablog.com | Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 10:17 PM
You would have to be a fool to go on Nancy Grace and be anything less than innocent and candid, but let's face it, "innocent moms" whose 2 year old children are missing and abducted, possibly still alive do not kill themselves, certainly not because of a TV interview and not without a suicide note blaming the cruel world for suspecting you of harming your child....
This girl knows exactly what happened to her son in my opinion and she wasn't shopping the day he disappeared but disposing of his body somewhere. She killed herself when she realized she couldn't pull it off.

Nancy Grace is a total disgrace. First thing out of the box is that Nancy Grace is a tv talk show host, and not the interrogator in any investigation. I don't know the whole story about Melinda and Joshua's ongoing battles, so it would be pointless for me to comment one way or the other. All I do know, is that there is a missing 2 year old boy, and the Mother could have held the key as to his whereabouts, and she could not have. Either way we will never know, since Nancy Grace took it upon herself to humiliate her and persecute her on National TV. So the loser here is the 2 year old boy, not Nancy Grace.
It simply amazes me totally that so many people are at the ready to accuse someone of a crime when they have absolutely no clue to the inner workings of the people involved. Whether Melinda had anything to do with Trentons disappearing or not, she was at best a truly unhappy disturbed young woman in need of help. What all Joshua had to do with her state of mind no one knows at this point. In any event it is truly sad that this young woman was driven to take her own life, because one disgraced Has Been Prosecutor took it upon herself to interject herself into being Judge, Jury and Executioner. Yes, Melinda pulled the trigger, but Nancy Disgrace was the ammunition to lead her to this desperate act.
Everyone who now talks badly about Melinda, should be ashamed of themselves, as the girl is now dead. Truly there are absolutely no Christians on this board or any board that chooses to Judge and speak badly about the deceased when they know absolutely nothing about the persons involved personally. And who ever it is that says her husband is the sheriff, I wonder how well you are representing him as a public figure to be blabbing badly about a deceased woman, and running her down on a public message board.
I hope and pray the boy is alive somewhere, but I can make no judgements or assessments about people I know nothing about. Anyone that condones what Nancy Grace did to that young woman, is just as disgraceful as Nancy Disgrace herself.
It is pitiful that so many people have nothing else to do with their lives that they roam from one case to another one, accusing innocent people of horrific crimes, without no knowledge of what they are talking about. Nothing but a bunch of horrible people whose lives are so out of control that the only satisfaction in their pitiful lives is to crucify other people. No wonder all you have to do is post 24/7 due to the fact that your conscience doesn't allow you to sleep, that is if you have a conscience.

perhaps it will serve as a lesson when the media gets involved with an investigation....
what actual purpose to these shows serve? maybe nancy could have produced a confession? get an emmy?
at any rate the child remains missing....& any knowlege the mother had will be in the grave with her....
& nancy's ratings go up....

Ever read Faulkner's "A Rose For Emily", MLdn? It's always been my opinion that the high-n-mighty community just assumed everything about her and locked it in as the truth once she died--even though there was never anything actually tying her to killing the yankee...;-)

she asked the boy's father the same questions. he didn't kill himself nor is he mad. the dad also took a lie detector test, the mother didn't. it appears that the mom didn't care that much about finding her child, or perhaps she already knew where he was. i don't care for grace, but she didn't treat the mom any different than she does anyone else.

To all you insensitive jerks that think Nancy has no responsibility in this, I hope one day you find yourself in the sights of our unsympathetic media where your guilt or innocence is determined by self-appointed media-judges. Wait till you can’t show your face without everyone pointing a finger at you. Try going to a job interview after your face has been displayed on everyone’s TV and PC. Our media has the power to destroy people’s lives permanently. Even if a court finds you innocent, you will still be guilty in the public’s eye. Can you imagine the despair that this young girl felt when she realized that Nancy Grace was going to paint her as guilty in the eyes of the viewing public?
Nancy Grace should be fired. She is arrogant, haughty, and exemplifies all that is wrong in American media. I believe that she is directly responsible for this young girl’s suicide. Many Americans fear the media more than the authorities because the media has no checks and balances and no controlling authority.
Nancy Grace once compared all defense lawyers to Nazi guards at a concentration camp. When questioned about her comment at a later date, Nancy said, “Under no condition is a defense attorney equal to a Nazi guard. That’s just an extreme example of someone refusing to take responsibility.” So by her own logic, Nancy Grace is now comparable to a Nazi guard.

I found the perfect word to describe Nancy Grace. She is a ghoul.
Webster defigns a ghoul as:
1 : a legendary evil being that robs graves and feeds on corpses
2 : one suggestive of a ghoul; especially : one who shows morbid interest in things considered shocking or repulsive

It makes me ill to read posts from supposed "mothers" who are sure that they would behave differently if their child was abducted. None of you have any idea how you would react in that situation until you are there. Such posts smack of ignorance and braggadocio. If she did do it, as you are already convinced she did, and she was disturbed, depressed, and suicidal, then wouldn’t that dictate a lighter sentence, or an insanity plea? So many mothers with so little compassion. Perhaps women aren’t the fairer sex after all.

I’ve read a lot of armchair psychoanalysis on this board and others. I’d like to give you all my analysis.
1. Melissa Duckett is adopted. She may not even know either of her birth parents.
2. She started a family in her late teens, and that family has broken up as well.
3. Her son is the only blood relation that she has in the whole world. He was the only thing in her life that was truly hers.
4. Melissa Duckett was fighting to keep sole custody of her son.
With these facts in mind, do you really think that Melissa Duckett would kill her only son? Oh, yes, that car seat she was selling. She had lost her job. Maybe she needed money so bad that she was going to sell it, and buy a new one when she found work again. What good is a car seat if you can’t make your car payment? Oh yeah, before she killed herself, she did say that her son was never coming home. Some might see this as an admission of guilt. The media was already speculating that the boy was dead and the searches had not turned up a single clue in two weeks. I think it more likely that she had given up hope that her son would ever be found alive. She also knew that she had already been tried and convicted in the press.
So, let’s recap: no birth parents, no husband, and now her son is gone. No one can find him, she is being vilified in the media, and people all over the country are convinced, in spite of the complete lack of any physical evidence, that she killed her only son. If she wasn’t suicidal before, that ought to about do it.
To all those who are so sure she did it, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. You would want to be presumed innocent. You would want a chance to tell your story without interruption, badgering, and without having the intent behind your words misrepresented. You better pray that you never have to try to defend yourself against such an onslaught. We’ll see how strong you are then.

There is no doubt in my mind that Nancy Grace ,CNN and the producers preplanned this attack on this young girl, they might as well pulled the trigger themselves i hope they are satisfied , and to add insult to injury Nancy Grace is still bashing this girl even after her death , this is one vile Bitch, my only hope is that when she is old and gray alone in her apartment she realizes what she has done, may she rot in hell.

After reading most of these comments concerning the suicide of the Mother of the missing two year old and the bashing of Nancy Grace, I will side with the Media and Nancy Grace. Nancy tells it like it is and doesn't pull any punches in her interviews etc. I appreciate someone with a backbone like she displays and if she would have been the attorney proscuting OJ Simpson instead of a Patsy like Marcia Clark maybe we would have had some justice in that case... Keep saying it like it is, Nancy.....The heck with the sour grape comments.

Looks like Nancy Grace and Melinda's husband aren't satisfied helping Melinda to the grave. The taste of blood has sent them into a blood frenzy. Now they are bashing her beyond the grave. It is sickening. I wouldn't even do this to my worst enemy. They should change the name of the show to: Nancy Disgrace.
P.S. Fox news has now reported through Melinda's Attorney (Kimberley Schulte) that it was not Melinda whom refused to take a lie detector test. She wanted to take the test. The Attorney was against her doing so.

I have never seen Nancy Grace do any harm to ANYONE...Melinda Duckett was an evil, cunning woman. Melinda did everything in her power to try and frame her husband due to the hate she had for him. This whole thing was planned. Whatever she did with her child was meant to hurt her husband, she took it the ultimate level. When Melinda realized that she was NOT going to get away with her lies, she decided to take the cowards way out. This is a perfect example of what hate can do to a person. It turns to obsessions, and they will go to any extreme to hurt the person they hate. Melinda might have loved her child but it did not over power her hate for her husband. Nancy Grace asked the same questions that the police asked Melinda and they received the same answers that Nancy Grace received.
Melinda was the "ONLY" one who knew that the so called threatening email letter she claimed was from her husband BUT in REALITY Melinda had sent it to herself. SOOOOO, if your child was really missing, you would never have given that letter to the police because you would know that would NOT help find your child.....Therefore she was not concerned as to the whereabouts of her son (because she knew where he was) she was only concerned in trying to get her husband in trouble. DOES THAT SOUND LIKE A LOVING MOTHER? A hateful one but NOT a loving one.
Some posters and commenters indicate that Melinda Duckett was a child herself, well being a 21 year old married woman with a 2 yr old, going thru a divorce does not sound like a child to me. TRENTON IS THE ONLY CHILD IN THIS WHOLE ORDEAL.
Melinda's hate was so much that she even took the whereabouts of her son to her grave with her. Even as she wrote her farewell letters she evaded talking about Trenton...AND SHE WAS NOT ON THE PHONE WITH NANCY WHEN SHE WROTE THOSE 3 LETTERS.
Nancy Grace can be harsh at times and can make many viewers angry, BUT she CAN NOT make anyone commit suicide..Least not on a 10 minute phone interview for which Melinda end up giving the phone to her grandmother. LETS GET REAL...
I'm left to wonder which side of the bars are you Nancy Grace haters talking from. Nancy Grace IS A VICTIMS ADVOCATE, how else would you expect her to act. Nancy Grace ASKED Melinda ALL the questions that MOST of us wanted the answers to.
Melinda would have taken the answers to the grave with her if she had lived to be 100. NO ONE, NOT EVEN A MELINDA DUCKETT would kill herself over a phone interview with Nancy Grace. She killed herself because she was caught out there with ALL her lies...bottom line...
So if you want to hate Nancy Grace, go right ahead...but to accuse her of causing the death of Melinda Duckett is like accusing Joshua of taking Trenton, and we all know that is not the case, BECAUSE IF MELINDA THOUGHT FOR ONE MINUTE THAT JOSHUA HAD TRENTON SHE WOULD STILL BE ALIVE.

I've wanted to know how the police proved that Melinda had sent that email that was supposed to be from her husband and if she ever admitted that she indeed did send it. Does anyone know why the husband or ex-husband should I say, - never spoke with either of the men that were at the house that night watching a movie, even though he went to school with one of them???? Can you imagine - you're son is missing and you're ex is dead and you don't even have one conversation with either of the men who were present at the alledged scene of the crime?!? That's too weird! There is a Petition that just started regarding pursuing the option of
having Nancy Grace criminally prosecuted for her direct involvement
with the documented, emotionally-fragile mother seeking some "air-
time" to help in the efforts to find her missing child that resulted
in her suicide. As most already know, Nancy "crossed the line" in her
questioning and violent accusations towards this poor mother. Saddest
part is now Melinda cannot assist authorities as a direct result of
Nancy's documented unprofessional actions. This site is an attempt to
forward some concerns regarding Nancy's inexcusable and criminal
conduct to authorities who have the authority to render some
assistance to actual victims of Nancy`s continued misconduct. Take a
look and decide for yourself. Thanks.

Joe Scarborough’s show of MSNBC broadcasted another show that indicates that there is now a “suspect” (person-of-interest) in the Trenton Duckett case, and that the investigation is still on-going as of this date. The clip also confirms that “Nancy Grace is scared to death” about the Duckett lawsuit (and more lawsuits) coming against her and CNN for Nancy’s unprofessional and illegal conduct documented thus far in the Duckett case. If criminal charges come against Nancy, wonder if CNN will cover what Nancy gets served for dinner after she goes to prison? Hope the tickets are available soon for the upcoming trials against Nancy for her direct connection in the deaths of more people who were never criminally convicted including Melinda Duckett. Maybe Nancy will receive “chicken-on-bone” meal with a small cup of ice-cream.” If that is the case, maybe the public should conjure up a public-out-cry against Nancy for getting chicken and ice-cream in prison where she will likely also have access to a television too, but not to cable-television to watch Nancy’s replacement on her show. Ohhh, too bad Nancy. People have told you Nancy, you cannot continue to victimize the victims. Sounds like Nancy’s civil-illegal actions are finally catching up to Nancy, as it does with most criminals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lF-w00BfRS0

I love Nancy Grace but she dwells way too long on one subject such as the wrestler. Almost every night it has been about him. There are many important cases out there that she could talk about! And Susan, the attorney has to go. Her voice just is not for tv.

Pat Lalama had to, again, fill in for Nancy Grace on her Tuesday July 17th show while Nancy was again treated “in-patient” in one of her three frequented Psych-Wards. Too bad CNN is not yet required to post the lawsuit-loses against people like Pat and Nancy as a footnote to their credibility. They have collectively been successfully sued for millions and millions of dollars in just the past several years, not counting all the lawsuits against them both that they lost before the more recent years. Even Pat appeared as Nancy often does, on some type of medications, drugs, or alcohol, and Pat was so influenced (or under the influence) tonight that she often had to use her hands to help hold her head up tonight. And, both Pat and Nancy are expecting even more lawsuits to be filed against them both from more non-convicted victims, especially Nancy, for the crimes they documented against themselves, including defamation, slander, and libel, as well as for Nancy other crimes like being a contributing factor in the death of more non-convicted people. My goodness, that is four known visits for Nancy back to one of her Psych Wards in just the last six weeks. Sounds like Nancy is nervous again because of the pending lawsuits against her in both state and federal courts. Perhaps it might just be easier if Nancy were to change her approach and stop victimizing non-convicted victims. That approach alone might help save more lives, and Predator Nancy Grace should continue with her court-ordered psychological treatment plans as directed by her CNN required psychologists and her CNN required psychiatrists. Simply put, no more victims should be harmed by Nancy Grace as a direct or indirect result of Predator Nancy Grace’s documented un-professionalism.
Posted by: Michelle from Madison | Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 12:15 AM
Nancy Grace was proven to be incorrect on more of her assertions and comments regarding the CHRIS BENOIT case on her Wednesday July 18th show. Even many of the guests on her show tonight disagreed with Nancy’s unfounded conclusions. Even the test results of Benoit disagreed with her previous statements and conclusions. How much more documented evidence would Nancy have to see before she would begin to realize she has been wrong all along in this case? To the informed viewers, it is clear why the city of Atlanta threw Nancy out on her butt years ago, and why they removed her ability to ever practice Law anymore anywhere within any of the 50 states of the United States. Did anyone forget she is allegedly involved in the death of a non-convicted young mother of a missing child? Did everyone forget that Nancy has pending Lawsuits against her in both state and federal courts right now, with many more lawsuits against her coming very soon? Time to focus on the reasons why she was thrown out of Atlanta, and why she was first reduced in her “air-time” before Court-TV also canned her butt. There is a definite pattern of her abuse towards victims, and it should stop before anymore people lose their life again as a direct result of Nancy’s documented unprofessionalism.
Posted by: Michelle from Madison | Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 10:23 PM
Nancy Grace totally screwed up on her show again on Thursday July 19th, when she was again was corrected by almost all of her guests tonight. Nancy “attempted” to cover the issue of the MICHAEL VICK case involving some suspected dog fighting. My goodness, I thought there were missing children and missing adults, but only Nancy chose to see suspected dog-fighting as a higher priority than missing people. Maybe Nancy should educate herself to the facts first, before she sticks her foot back into her own mouth. Now, she does definitely has a big mouth, but being factual might be a welcomed change for this predator of victims. Consider this though, if Nancy truly actually learned the facts of a case, any case, first before she threw out more wrong-accusations and wrong-assertions, that would truly be a nice change for herself. Plus, it would also be the first time than that Nancy would have been accurate, if she could even accomplish that task. While it has not ever happened yet, there still remains hope for her to become accurate since she is still working with her third of three Damage-Control teams, since the other first two quit trying to deal with her psychological problems in the recent months since Nancy alleged may have provoked a psychotically-fragile young mother to commit suicide after Nancy verbally battered this poor young mother of a missing child. Well, it remains clear why Nancy can not practice Law anymore in any of the 50 states of the United States. It is also clear why Court-TV recently reduced her air-time before they too fired her butt, and why CNN still mandates that there be a least one of her Psychologists present on any set where Nancy is expected to have some air-time for CNN. Good move CNN, predator Grace certainly comes across as being nutts……. still!
Posted by: Michelle from Madison | Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 09:47 PM
Nancy Grace was proven wrong, again, on her Tuesday July 24th show. She was actually torn up by her guests tonight, all of her guests, as she was verbally-battered and made to appear the fool Nancy Grace has documented herself to be. Ouch. My goodness, that show was a tough one for Nancy. Perhaps Nancy will never bring up the name of LINDSAY LOHAN again, at least not until the lawsuit(s) have been filed by Lohan’s attorney in an upcoming lawsuits for defamation by Grace against another non-convicted victim. Nancy did state that she herself wants to go to a rehab facility that can treat alcoholism and drug addictions, which is a good recognition made again by Predator Grace. She further stated that she plans to move into “Promises Treatment Facility,” and hopefully she will do that soon. Good for you Nancy, get some help for your documented problems. Sounds like Nancy should try maybe about 5 years or so of inpatient treatment to help her with her acknowledged alcoholism and other addictions. Good luck Nancy, the victims could surely benefit from the break when you are again “incarcerated.” Tonight’s show emphasized, again, why this is part of the reasons why Predator Nancy Grace has lawsuits pending against her right now in both State and Federal Courts, with more suits expected soon by other non-convicted persons vilified by Predator Grace like the Duke Lacrosse team. Let alone all those cases she lost over the recent years while she has been an employee of Court-TV and CNN. It is no wonder why Court-TV fired her butt recently. And, it is no wonder why Nancy Grace was thrown out of Atlanta years ago, and why she can no longer ever practice Law anymore anywhere within any of the 50 states of the United States. Perhaps a better approach for this fat idiot might be to simply stop victimizing more victims. With more lawsuits expected against Predator Grace in the near future, it is clear why she does not possess the mental capacity to even host a show of any kind. Her CNN-mandated psychological treatment does not appear to be working.

Late on Saturday night, December 8th, a Fox show named “The Soup” had a segment where they really bashed Nancy for just being Nancy. The worst jab was when the news broadcaster laughed at Nancy for “naturally getting pregnant at age 60.” In all due respect to that show, Nancy is way too old to have kids at this late-stage in her life. Those kids will still be in high-school when Nancy is at the age-of-retirement. That, alone, is child-abuse in and of itself. What a stupid reason for Nancy to have kids just to get a tax-credit. Plus, her name is not legally Nancy Grace anyways. That must be her planned-defense in some of her upcoming lawsuits against her for her for crimes including the documented unprofessional and illegal conduct against a mother of a missing young child. Nancy must plan to say on the stand “You can’t sue me, I am not Nancy Grace, I got married and changed my name. You have the wrong person here.”

I saw this cool post from Michelle from Madison where she hit the nail on the head in this post.
“Not only was Nancy drinking all the time, she was even photographed drinking while she was pregnant, and she even was opening up her Bud Lights while on the air while she was pregnant and doing her show recently. Plus, she took a ton of fertility-medications in order to get pregnant. For someone that old, she’s almost 50, that alone could result in catastrophic complications for those poor little victim-twins. If her alcoholism-problems were not enough, Nancy subjected those twins to the possible complications of those medications, plus her repeated hospital visits were reportedly due to complications consistent with old-mothers, and drug and alcohol abuse. Finally, when the hospital forcibly ripped those twins away from her, it was clearly the signs and symptoms of her documented problems with both drugs and alcohol. Hopefully her file has been sent over to the Prosecutor’s office for review for possible criminal charges.”
