Jared John Raymond left Swampscott two years ago, about a month after graduating high school.
Yesterday, as Jaclyn Raymond instinctively looked one last time to see her son, her only child, Jared, she also stood outside the church of St. John the Evangelist waiting for a hero to be carried back into the welcoming bosom of his hometown.
