I have followed this case almost every single day since it hit the news in the first days of June 2005. I continue to wear my Hope for Natalee bracelet everyday. This is my second one, the first I wore until it broke. I have been wearing my bracelet since they first became available. The one I am currently wearing is about expired and I despretely need a new one. If anyone can be so generous as to mail me one I would be grateful. I am a poor college student else I would order one online. In addition, I worry that purchasing one online would provide a profit to someone who is interested in the money only.

On my car and my laptop computer are stickers much like the black and white ones seen on cars that designate where they are from. Mine say ARUBA with a line crossed through it and FIND NATALEE beneath that. People ask me why I have these stickers and I tell them it is because until Natalee is returned to her family, I will never give up hope. Whether Natalee returns home alive or I hope not, deceased, she will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

There is a part of me which clings to the hope that Natalee is still alive somewhere though logic suggests otherwise. I send my heart and prayers to Dave and Beth. God Bless everyone who in any way contributed to the searches and funding for Beth, Dave and to Tim Miller and Equusearch.

Joran van der Sloot is going to maintain that he never had sex with Natalee Holloway unless a witness comes forward to dispute him, just like he is going to maintain that he doesn't know what happened to Natalee unless a witness comes forward to dispute him or her body is found somewhere with physical evidence that links him to her.

In other words, he's going to maintain his innocence forever because there is a slim to none chance that Natalee will be recovered or that any physical evidence will be recovered.

THere are a gazillion stories just like this one...sometimes the jury is full of dumbasses who believe that if any alternative theory however improbable cannot be 100% disproved then it must be true...and sometimes the jury is full of people with working brains who can see a lie for exactly what it is: evidence of a guilty mind.

Yes, it could have happened ... but it's fictional to say it did until there is some evidence. There is simply NO evidence we know of showing Natalee was victim to any crime. I don't want Natalee's corpse; I pray she's found alive and well, as hard as even I have imagining that. But I don't write fantasies about it.

Vermont case shows difference in US and Aruba.

Our police aren't allowed to incarcerate people and question them for months on end, and yet, STUNNINGLY, they were able to apparently find enough incriminating evidence against, yes, you guessed it, the last male person known to be with the dead girl...to arrest him.

And STUNNINGLY, many of this joker's friends and family believe he's inacapable of such a henous act and he says he left the girl alive, he went one way she went the other and he doesn't remember anything after that.

Well Vinnie, you are right about one thing! I do live 'up top' my name! I am heads and shoulders above you, Althor, and Scaramouche.

But if it makes you feel any better, I will say this: Althor has an average to above-average concept of language. His writing; however, is not always grammatically correct. He has a tendency to use run-on sentences. He also has a tendency to use quotation marks to excess. He probably thinks he is using the quotation marks to make a point, but they actually are used to stress the anger he feels about his writing subject, or instances or people he refers to in the subject matter. His derogatory comments about Natalee and Beth could come from a deep feeling of misogyny. It is possible he has current or past problems with the women in his life. The fact that he continually makes posts to blogs about Natalee Holloway suggesting that other posters should drop all discussion of this subject shows his intense anger and feelings of helplessness. He knows that he is helpless in his efforts to get other people to follow his lead, which in turn, causes more insecurity on his part.

It's a frustrating system to say the least. From everything I've read, the victims seem to be afforded far less rights than perps. And the rules seem to change to fit the current situation. One example I can think of is plea bargaining. We were told no, no, no we don't have such a thing under D utch law. Then come to find out it does exist but under different terminology "Crown Witness". This poor kid never had a chance for justice given the circumstances.

Life In Prison, No Parole For Killer

This was the last picture taken of Tamika before she disappeared in May.

A judge in Greenville, S.C. sentenced Christopher Hampton to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the 2004 murder of Tamika Huston. The sentence came less than a year after Hampton was charged with her murder and later confessed the details of the murder to a local newspaper. Despite the sentencing, however, Tamika family says they will never be the same without her in their lives.

The Key Maker

One of the most important clues in the mysterious disappearance of Tamika Huston was found inside of her car. A set of keys had been left behind that did not seem to belong to Tamika. AMW joined the investigation and hired a locksmith to examine the keys. Investigators took it a step further. They found the person who actually made the key. The key maker led police to yet a different apartment complex- The Freemont Apartments. Police tried the key on every door in the building. It was not until they reached the last door that they found a tongue and groove. The key fit perfectly.

Police were able to trace the key back to a former resident, Christopher Hampton. Upon investigation, cops discovered Tamika had once dated Hampton. With their interest piqued, police got a search warrant and discovered blood in the master bedroom. Through DNA testing, cops were able to determine that the blood belonged to Tamika Huston.

Police questioned Hampton. Cops say he claimed that someone had vandalized his apartment with ketchup and hot sauce. He told police he had purchased a steam cleaner to clean the mess. He is currently serving time for parole violation on a non-related charge.

Hampton denies having anything to do with Tamika's disappearance.

AMW Tipster Give Cops A Great Lead

When AMW aired Tamika's story in March a tipster phoned the hotline giving cops some much needed details about Hampton's apartment. The anonymous tipster claims to have been at the scene of a crime unaware of what she was witnessing. The AMW tipster told police that she had seen Hampton cleaning up stains that he said was Kool-Aid. Cops followed through on our tipster's story and it seems to have paid off. With Hampton now charged with murder there is still one remaining question- what happened to Tamika?

I have never replied to one of your posts, nor offended you in any way, and there you go, out of the blue, and called me sicko/pig just because I had the “audacity” to speak my mind without offending anybody! And you guys are the ones that made a big deal about how “gorgeous” and “beautiful” and how much of a “Beauty Pageant Queen” she was, which she wasn’t!

She seems to have been nice and affable, and her dyieng her hair blonde made her look better, but that shouldn’t matter. It would still be a shame she died, whether she was her comely self, or that “lionized” version you get so offended if anyone deflates!

The poor child is gone. Whether through her own lack of good judgement or someone else’s evil actions. We have all discussed this until at this point we are all blue in the face. I say not. They posted at the same time and are different. Althor has posted as BHS, Refugees, FOB (IIRC), BFN, and elsewhere.
