As Air America declares bankruptcy, supporters suggest progressive radio is going strong.
That makes sense in Lib-speak, after all, you shouldn't have to earn your way, maybe the government will bail you out with a Fairness Doctrine if Dems prevail in the Fall. Liberals never survive without a dole. Other recent Air America news says Springer is out, along with a board member. I never even knew Springer was in.
Update: I wrote about the bankruptcy of liberalism and Air America a couple of weeks ago.
Update 2: Best comment at Think Progress link above - think Halliburton, Baby!!
R.I.P., Air America. If it had been a right-wing network, this administration would have secretly funneled millions of dollars into it. Ya know, if they happen to do that sort of thing.

What's next, the NY Times?
It is sad to watch a once-great company decline. Jobs are sacrificed, historic facilities closed, and an atmosphere of failure and fear usually permeates the surviving operations. When a company needs to sell-off profitable crown jewels to sustain the lagging less profitable pieces, it does not portend future happiness.

I for one will miss AA, it's great comedy relief. Where else will you hear about how the WTC buildings were pre-wired to implode? Gotta run, I'm sure Cheney is at Wrightsville Beach planting his giant water heaters to attract teh next hurricane.

Again, I have to note that the American Left is reported to have massive polling numbers on their side, which translates -- for those of you with bidness degrees -- into a near nirvana for ratings potential and, therefore, advertising dollars.
With such potential going for them and, if we are to believe current rhetoric, only getting stronger every day, to be incapable of turning that into a profit-making engine means one of a few thing:
1] the polling numbers are right, but the American Left is incompetent at running something even as trivial as a media outlet; or
2]those polling numbers are grossly wrong, to the point of being beyond "interpretation" and margins of error, but fabricated.
If it's #1, then to vote the American Left into office in any great number would be a disaster for the country; if it's #2, then they won't get elected anyway.
