Virginia Tech is in panic mode as 24 year old escaped killer, William Morva, is loose and believed armed somewhere near the campus. It's the first day of classes.
A quick hit on Google suggests he's been somewhat involved with the campus in he past due to his role in a low budget sci-fi movie.
The plot involves scientists tracing mysterious emanations of radiation, which turn out to come from a crashed spaceship. William Morva plays the character who makes the first -- and for him, the last -- contact with it. Artists have been recruited for '50s-style movie posters....

BLACKSBURG, Va. - Virginia Tech closed campus and canceled classes Monday, the first day of classes, as police continued to hunt for a jail escapee who's accused of shooting and killing a hospital security guard and a police officer.
Police are on the hunt for 24-year-old William Morva, who escaped from a hospital in Blacksburg on Sunday.
They caught him.
