Why Select Fox News Journos For Kidnapping?
While Fox News' role in American media may be partly behind the kidnapping of two Fox journalists, it's quite possible that the kidnapping was designed to also send a clear message to the Saudis and similar regimes, as well. As I posted almost a year ago, Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal owns more than 5% of voting shares in Murdoch's News Corporation.
If you combine that with the rhetoric below from the kidnappers, they have more than just America in mind. This was obviously a well-planned crime and the delay in broadcasting likely allowed the kidnappers, who many now speculate are linked with al-Qaeda, to take more precautions than would your run of the mill Palestinian group.
As I recall, several cars were used in the abduction, ensuring that the Fox News vehicle would not get away.
I hate to state the obvious, but with the demand so obviously out of the question, it's doubtful this will be resolved successuflly barring some type of Special Op. The staging of the abduction in Palestine also allows al-Qaeda to co-opt the Palestinian question, as they often seek to do.
"Muslims have been oppressed around the world. The Arab world is doing what the American government would like them to do. The Arab world has sold out the Palestinian cause. All non-believers should become believers. You raped us. You raped our nation."
BILLIONAIRE Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal has raised his stake in media giant News Corporation to 5.46 per cent of voting shares and backed the leadership of chairman and chief executive Rupert Murdoch, lifting the company's shares.
The prince's new holding of Class B voting shares replaced the three per cent stake in Class A non-voting shares previously held by his investment company, Kingdom, Prince Alwaleed's office said.
Allah is updating the story at Hot Air, as well.

Kidnapping is an old time honored tradition in the Arab world. It is the equivalent of a "Fundraising" activity in the Western world. Only sometimes an example must be made to give credibility to the threat. That is an old tradition as well...

You must know the mindset there. Otherwise you are placing yourself at risk. Reporters embedded with armed forces have some protection. Those newsies that wander about like kids on a playground are living on god`s good graces. I don`t reckon any news story is worth that.
