Thomas Ricks - Drunk or Psychotic?

Or both? This goes beyond media bias ... it's like media abject stupidity. Thomas Ricks of the Washington Post goes on TV and suggests that Israel is allowing Hizbollah to retain some rockets so they can kill a limited of Israeli civilians because ... it helps win the PR war.

Is this guy friggin stoned? Of course, he'll likely respond to criticism by stating he's just so smart that he knows the truth and we're all being fooled. But then, that works for psychotics, so why not?

Clearly, Ricks did his journalism graduate work at Reuters.

What is disturbing- besides the obvious- is that he clearly attempting to shift the balance of the moral baselines of the Israelis and Hizbollah.

In excoriating Israel and making these outrageous charges, he is attemting to define a kind of moral equality between Israel and Hizbollah- a moral equality nowhere in existence except in the mind of Mr Ricks.

The Israelis have traded hundreds of prisoners for the remains of a few of their own. They are not people for whom allowing 'the killing of a few civilians' is an option.

The Israelis do not need to sacrifice any of their own to retain the moral high ground. As long as ITBACH AL YAHUD!- SLAUGHTER THE JEW! is an acceptable form of political or religious ideology, taught from birth, the Israelis have no need to explian themselves to anyone.

Clearly, it is the likes of Mr Ricks that have the explaining to do.

The folks that I fear the most is those that think that they are somebody that they aren`t.
They are generally dangerous to themselves and others. That punk qualifies!

He is probably, in real life, that XXX kid that posts his tripe here. Delusional!

Give this Weasel a solid dose of sodium pentathol, hook him up to a polygraph and film it.

He is no more a journalist than the kids that scribble their impulsive trash on restroom walls. I have read his 'work' and seen more than a few restroom walls. The difference is that some fool pays for his tripe!

Or the IDF isn't striking at known Hez launchers because they are covered in voluntary human shields and the IAF is unwilling to kill that many "civilians" (even voluntary human shields) just to stop Hez from killing some Jews.

Obviously the policy has been mitigated, but just as obviously, it is still inforce to a degree. The HEZ launchers not attacked is proof of that.
