Update: Figures, I should have stayed out of this one as it didn't look a stretch at first. Anyway, it is possible the individual walking into the hospital in video below is a bystander. Ultimately the inconsistencies in this may not be that great, though there are some, they could just be from different reports.
It does appear more like sharpnel possibly entered the vehicle right front top, as opposed to a missile. Reports vary as to whether they were in the vehicle, or getting out. And ISrael claims the vehicle positioned itself between their forces and the militants. That isn't exactly a good place for a vehicle to be. And if it's armoured, as this one was, it would provide cover for the enemy.
Bottom-line, the vehicle probably shouldn't have been where it wqas and got hit.
I was going to pass on this as it seemed Israel took responsibility. But something doesn't appear to add up. Here is a video from Reuters. The strike comes in through the black left top corner of the vehicle. So, how is it that the front right floor is covered with blood? The alleged missile would have had to pass completely through the vehicle from back to front while inside the vehicle.
This video at CNN shows no such damage. And there's something else.
GAZA (Reuters) - An Israeli air strike hit a Reuters vehicle in Gaza City on Saturday, wounding two journalists as they covered a military incursion, doctors and residents said.
One of the Palestinian journalists, who worked for a local media organization, was seriously wounded. A cameraman working for Reuters was knocked unconscious in the air strike, one of several in the area.
Every account I have seen says there were two journalists injured. The Reuters video shows a man being removed from a van, his leg injured as he's on a stretcher and another being taken into the hospital unconscious, also on a stretcher.
However, the CNN video has the fellow with the leg injury arriving in the same vehicle, but the other injured man is another fellow who gets out of the vehicle he arrives in and walks into the hospital.
Hmm.

My guess is shrapnel from a missile (not a direct missile hit) made that cut in the right FRONT corner (the "P' of press is actually the front), which is above the passengerseat, hence the blood. That guy was holding his camera, which was also having blood and it might have saved him, cause he was "only" hurt in the legs (serious hurt). The driver was knocked unconcious, but I think the blood on his shirt is from the passenger, as the tshirt under his shirt has no blood. The driver was not seriously wounded.
The bloodied guy exciting from the black car in front of the hospital is one of the 3 bystanders hurt by shrapnel. Some other mediareports said, two of the 3 bystanders were a woman and a child. I have not seen footage of them.
The driver said he "saw fire and the doors flew open" but there are no signs of fire on the car.
Other witnesses said they were standing outside or just on their way out. So there ARE some inconsistencies.
Reuters also inmediately accused the IDF of targeting a car that was clearly labeled as a pressvehicle in english, arab and HEBREW. I studied all the footage and there is no hebrew on the car for sure. Also mind you, the attack was in the dark of the night. I doubt any pilot would have noticed that word "press" on a dusty roof in the midst of a fight in the dark of night.
A hamas member was killed next to this Reuters vehicle, which was apparently the REAL target. The cameramen were in the middle of a warzone.

Exactly Elisabeth. Why if the paparazzi can take pictures of stars from a mile away, would a camera person need to be in the middle of a war zone.

Maybe Reuters, after the latest debacle of 'staged' events, is willing to sacrifice a couple of journalists to reinstate the 'need' for their altruistic presence in giving the world 'real' war coverage. But probably not. Most likely they're more motivated to make the Israelis look bad....at any price, it seems.
