I imagine it's deserved to an extent, even if it's ultimately a misguided political strategy - they still won a primary. That's, well, almost like winning an actual election, in a sense.
Ace has an excellent commentary on the Kos reaction and Jeff Goldstein looks at how the media continues to manipulate political discourse. In a WaPo story on lgf, they just had to drag out the spokesperson for CAIR for quotes. Do they do that everytime they interview a Liberal Democrat for a story? I don't think so.
Meanwhile, the NYTimes retracted the on line caption for a photo.
