Via Flopping Aces, evidently Michael Moore is also crowing about Lamont's primary win and making threatening noises:
he says that all Democrats who support Bush are doomed! Doomed I tell you!
I don't care how you slice it, Lamont is still a lightweight and stands an excellent chance of losing to Lieberman in the general election. Lamont was a client of Dick Morris once in a failed bid for a state seat. Morris was already on the radio pronouncing Lamont a bit of a flake without a ton of substance once he moves away from his talking points.
For some reason I found myself thinking about weddings. Have you ever been to one where, to put it nicely, the blushing bride was about 325 lbs. of not all that? Still, everyone and HER brother hugs her and tells her how beautiful she is. Thing is, they don't have to go on the honeymoon, or sleep with her that night.
The DNC is now married to Ned Lamont. God bless their little hearts. But will we see The Wedding Effect? I think we just might.
Democratic Leader Harry Reid and DSCC Chair Chuck Schumer issued the following joint statement today on the Connecticut Senate race:
“The Democratic voters of Connecticut have spoken and chosen Ned Lamont as their nominee. Both we and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) fully support Mr. Lamont’s candidacy. Congratulations to Ned on his victory and on a race well run.
“Joe Lieberman has been an effective Democratic Senator for Connecticut and for America. But the perception was that he was too close to George Bush and this election was, in many respects, a referendum on the President more than anything else. The results bode well for Democratic victories in November and our efforts to take the country in a new direction.”

Or maybe, Conn. was sick of Joe Lieberman. Sick of his apologies for George Bush and his concern for Terry Schiavo. Maybe Joe ran a crap campaign considering he's an incumbent, complete with blaming his loss on his campaign web site getting hacked by Lamont.
Maybe old Joe is a sore loser and if he doesn't drop out before November he will get his ass kicked in the election.

NICE, Dan. Good grief...... hahahaha ..." the blushing bride was about 325 lbs. of not all that? Still, everyone and HER brother hugs her and tells her how beautiful she is. Thing is, they don't have to go on the honeymoon, or sleep with her that night."
And you're usually so perspicacious in your analysis. hahaha.....
I love that they said the race was more against George Bush than anything else. Wow. What a great reason to vote for someone. Idiots. 'We don't have crap for a campaign other than we hate Dubya." That's just swell for the country, don't you know. Oh well, maybe Connecticutt will decide the guy needs Viagra before November and votes in the dude with the real cojones. (to keep on with your theme of conjugal luv....)
