Hopefully one of these days Olmert will make up his mind.
JERUSALEM (AP) -- Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is dissatisfied with the emerging cease-fire deal and told his defense minister in a meeting Friday to get ready for a wider ground offensive in Lebanon, a senior Israeli official said.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes pounded south Beirut and border crossings to Syria, killing at least 14 people across Lebanon as ground fighting picked up intensity in the south.

No need to rush ahead on my account.
I've noticed that John Bolton has also pressed the "pause button." And, that Olmert's willing to take risks for Bush. It also seems that there's a waiting period because Assad doesn't seem to want to mount his dead horse, and send his 40,000 conscripts, ill trained, up the GOLAN.
So, maybe, that's what we're waiting for? Good cooking in the kitchen. But not ready to serve, yet. While Bibi seems to be fishing around for a new-new election. What does he think he gets? He could even lose a seat or two from his dozen. I kid you not. Israelis don't like it when you scream "FIRE" in a crowded war theater.
While I think in the "silence," where we're told to wait for marching boots; Little Green Footballs dropped a BIG BOMB on Reuter's. And, by not having interference from war news dead body counts; Olmert may become the genius. And, his Pancho, Amir Peretz, may be better at helping him fight windmills, than Mofaz? Ya just never know whose contract is up. Ya know why? The big producers are working the phones. And, not telling anything to the journalists. So this crap you're hearing now, just flies around.
While everyone can develop a good case of skeptism towards what the TV shows, and what you see journalists getting paid to write for print. It's a PR business over there, after all.
And, Israelis smart enough to know that the "pause" gives the pilots time to rest.
While what happens if syria refuses to engage, I do not know. But I wouldn't claim they'd get Shebaa. They might not gain anything? Business in the souks may turn out to be lousier than you think. But it goes unreported.

I hope the IDF kicks some Booty. I know there will be more loss of life
but war is hell and Israel is fighting for their survival.
Bless Israel & all the soldiers that are fighting for their freedom from murderers.
