Well, here's a healthy dose of reality via the NY Times.
Furthermore, he made it clear that Sheik Nasrallah remained a target as the leader of a group that Israel and the United States have labeled terrorist. “There’s only one solution for him,” he said. At another point, he said simply, “This man must die.”
Meanwhile, Pundita takes off with a discussion of events we shared in an email.
And for a diversion from the fuss, Steel points out that gentically engineered rice may be preparing to take over the world.

I wonder how many arabs think the same of so many israelis...
Is this the recipe for peace? A biased, extremist and dumb blog?
Good men do not do politics, you the owner of this blog are not a good man and you are doing nothing to contribute to a better place, other than stirr people's feelings.
Israel killed 62 lebanese for each dead israeli. Did vietnam work? No. Did this war work? No. Are you helping at all? No.
Peace.

Interesting discussion. Gaddafi capitulated because he likes money. Capitalism works wonders. So did getting caught downing that airliner.
This was a little 'contretemps' between Israel and Hezbollah compared to what is coming along according to plans long awaited by the neo-cons and Israel. Not for one second do I think there has been a miscalculation in Bush's plan. The Israelis are masters of war. World opinion is all part of the plan, and the world will rattle onto its head when Hezbollah makes the mistake it is going to make. The bloodletting will change this world.
We don't get to see behind the scenes, but it's Machiavellian in its brilliance, and historians will write about it for a century or more.
