I admire Bush for his determination and his ability to make his intentions clear by speaking directly. He has no intentions of bailing on Iraq. But I wish he could communicate half as effectively as Reagan. I'm convinced he'd have far fewer issues as regards his popularity at home. I also wish we'd consider putting more boots on the ground if that's what it's going to take to get things in hand while bringing the Iraqi Army and police along, however slowly that sometimes seems. Allah has the video.

I agree. I cringe when he talks. And I'm a fan.
It's amazing how a person's facial expressions can make or break the message.
A little botox on the left side of his mouth would nix that 'smile' reflex. ugh....

At times President Bush acts like King John. I don't mean that he's arrogant but merely that he has periods of seemingly intense inactivity during which nothing anyone says can rouse him to visible action. Then, as though shaken up and stirred by some giant force outside of himself, he rouses and, like a rampaging lion, goes on the prowl; then his roars can be heard throughout the land. When President Bush is in the second mode, he's quite popular.

Bush sounds like an idiot everytime he opens his mouth!! It's tough for a moronic president these days!

"he rouses and, like a rampaging lion, goes on the prowl"
I must of missed that conference. He's a pathetic communicator....could be he just killed off that part of his brain.

Oh come on. Public speaking is the number one phobia. It is not a determinant of one's intelligence or lack of in any way. Give me a president who does the right thing any day over one who can charm and smarm his way into anything including a pair of panties and still not get the job done.

But what if the job is to "charm and smarm"?

No argument there. It is unfortunate that Bush does not have the charm-and-smarm quality. Life would be easier for all of us if vapid Bush-hate was not the motivator for most political decisions.
