So what else can you do after reading this news item but Google around until you find a clip?
The PBS Kids Sprout network has fired the host of "The Good Night Show" after learning she had appeared in videos called "Technical Virgin."
The host, Melanie Martinez, had alerted network officials about one of the videos late last week and she was immediately taken off the air.
"PBS Kids Sprout has determined that the dialogue in this video is inappropriate for her role as a preschool program host and may undermine her character's credibility with our audience," said Sandy Wax, network president.
Airing for three hours each evening, "The Good Night Show" airs soothing stories and cartoons designed to get an audience of 2-to-5- year-olds ready for bed. Each night, Martinez guides a puppet character into dreamland. Martinez is a stage actress and mother of a toddler.
In the two "Technical Virgin" videos _ made before she landed the children's show job _ she spoofs PSAs about how young women can keep their virginity.
I thought it was the Bush administration responsible for this type of thing? You mean PBS is self-policing? Anyway, here it is ... warning: original Wonkett readers should feel right at home, or something.

Oh for crying out loud.
How many years ago was this? She looks much different that she did on Sprout. It has to be quite a few years ago.
Anyway this video won't hurt her credibility with Sprout's audience. Because pre-schoolers won't be seeing the video!
This same network has one show (also shown within the "Goodnight Show"), that is narrated by a variety of celebrities including George Carlin, and Alec Baldwin. These guys have racked up things on film and TV that make "Technichal Virgin" look like a Disney film.
Richard Pryor had a very public record of drug use and a comedy act that was VERY adult oriented, and THEN had a critically acclaimed children's show on CBS, "Pryor's Place"
If she was found to have been in a porn film, or a "Girls Gone Wild" video, this would make more sense. The video could be shown in full on network TV without edits.

Sad, sad thought isn't it?
