I think we just got China's attention regarding North Korea. This puts them on the spot to actually pressure North Korea to back off their testing, instead of just talking about it.
Update: More and multiple links at Protein Wisdom
Update2: Check in with Austin Bay for details on the North Korean missile program.

Who is "we?" The US military? Where did you serve, Dan, and when? I didn't realize that you were one of us.

What looks "wee" about you is your brain given the stupid response. "We," in the context of the post would be a political "we," meaning the free Nations that would prefer N Korea not shoot off missiles, no matter how deficient.
Why is it that when Libs attack, they never do it very intelligently, or effectively?

Western Washington is very close to where that lady was thrown in jail for "kidnapping" her own son that the state expropriated in order to give him unnecessary surgery that she said "No" about.

(Arrogant doctor + self-righteous state) / obstinant parent * culture of government nannyism == "we'll take your child and give him the surgery *we* think he needs, and you can just stay the hell out of it".
Nothing surprises me coming from the idiot northwest.

Good point, Dan! I like the way you think. I guess most of us wouldn't have thought about using Taiwan to make China think twice about who they are supporting. But I would announce a much bigger arms deal with Taiwan with the next N Korean missile launch. Promise them six or seven diesel submarines and see what the Chinese think about the Norks then.

...or perhaps China may decide to be done with Taiwan.

Damn right, it's called the GI Bill. And I still report for reserve duty at Whidbey Island NAS.

I still report for reserve duty
That's terrific. But it has nothing to do with why your brain was on reserve in your previous comment. Feel free to come back if it ever gets moved to active duty status.

Some of us were in the military after the first GIBill expired and the second GIBill was passed.
"Us", in this case, includes me, who is not so dense as to get confused by a common rhetorical device.
Here's a hint, squid, "We the People" only included a handful of intellectuals deigning to speak on behalf of everyone. Damned arrogant of them, I'd say. Wunchoo?
