Quite A Day

Islamic terrorists set off seven bombs in India, you can get a full round up at Hot Air, if you want more coverage than you've seen. Nearly every civilized Nation in the world is experiencing terror attacks and the one common theme for all of them is radical Islam ... but the press hesitates to make that clear in their mind-numbing coverage.

And now we are extending Geneva Conventions to captured enemy combatants, a class of scum for which the Conventions were never intended to apply.

AJStrata puts a positive spin on it by referencing the longer term political ramifications. His analysis holds up, but is it really a good thing when the country has to resort to playing politics while in a war which threatens our way of life?

I'm growing increasingly impatient with a weak kneed media which took the news of the horrific nature of our enemy exemplified most recently in the torture and killings of two noble soldiers - and they all but dismissed the story. Oh, they'll go on for months about Abu Ghraib and Haditha, but, no, we mustn't show the depraved face of radical Islam. That isn't politically correct.

And I am also growing increasingly impatient with the mutant Left that doesn't have the PATRIOTISM - that's right, someone may as well say it - the Left, most Dems, Murtha et al - Eff them. They don't act like patriots, they act like that idiot Greenwald with his How Would A Pansy Act BS book. They'd be the ruin of this country if they ever came to power.

The war on terror has always been a multi-front war. What's unfortunate is that at least a few of those fronts are right here at home. And, no matter what, that portion of the war must continue to be fought. And ultimately, it must be won.

The only good thing about the pacifist Left is that it shouldn't put up much of a fight if it ever comes to taking them out. (that's a joke) well, sorta. While I don't see it in our lifetime, if the political correct crowd has its way and Islam is able to gain a greater foot hold in the US, there might well come a day when Americans will have to stand up and take arms to preserve our heritage once, again.

If you think that reactionary, or imprudent, then you haven't been reading between the lines. Even most organized self-professed Muslim groups will tell you their ultimate goal is to live in a world governed by shria law.

I agree with you, the media will go on and on for months about how we treat the terrorists in prison and other things. Just like you said it never seems to end and they do it so blatantly that it has really made me sick of it. I hope they are getting thank you cards from the terrorists for all the hard work they (the Media) is doing for them.
