All one need do now is wait and see if the Liberal wing of the Democrat party eats its own. The moderate Democrats, best represented by the Democrat Leadership Council has their annual gathering coming up.
It's funny watching some on line liberal pundits swipe at Hillary and others who are attending. They are, after all, the same people who cry and scream about freedom of expression, association and ideas. Evidently, they're all for freedom of thought ... as long as you are thinking what they've told you, or what they purport to believe. Otherwise they wish to shout you down and shut you up.
At a time when centrism has become a dirty word in some Democratic Party circles, hundreds of the party's avowed moderates are convening in Denver this weekend to discuss their agenda for this fall's election and the presidential contest in 2008.
The annual meeting of the Democratic Leadership Council, a group that came to prominence in connection with President Clinton's electoral victory in 1992, takes place as the organization has become a lightning rod for criticism from liberal Web-based activists known as the netroots.
