Hold Up Allah Dude

Allah posts a rundown of the worst blog scandals ever. When it comes it blogstuff, Allah is one of the sharpest tacks in the pack. But he missed the mark this one time. No Karl Rove indictment story via TruthOut? No MyDD starting out as Stock Fraud Stargate 2001? Wasn't there a little issue about Markos Moulitsis not disclosing his being paid by Dean as promptly as he could have? The Warner at DailyKos deal, followed up by Warner skating on his Lieberman support?

Seems to me Rathergate and some others aren't really blog scandals, so much as they are scandals reported on by blogs. But we are developing our own dirt - and I imagine there will be plenty more in the future.

The rewrite of the SAW thing was hilarious. Makes the perp the victim.

I'd say
Truthout No. 1
Guckert/Gannon No. 2
Domenech No. 3
Kosola No. 4
Hiltzik No. 5

Emerging medium growing pains?

That's probably about right.

Not sure why Allah downplays the whole greenwalding thing. He's out there putting stuff in print, and the left and the media is eating it up.

Well eat this, he's a world class fraud.

Allah's blog scandal round up is limited to the US. Why not expand it to the world?

For instance, Scott Burgess, an American living in the UK (as am I), discovered a scandal at the Guardian newspaper (far left wing). The newspaper had hired a reporter with ties to Islamists to do a story sympathetic to the 7/7 London bombers. Body count: 1 reporter and the Guardian's senior news editor fired.

What about the whole Capitol Hill Blue conspiracy? A site RUN by sockpuppets, EDITED by sockpuppets, and WRITTEN by sockpuppets whose SOURCES are sockpuppets. You can't get more Byzantine than that.
