That's what it reads like to me. If the NY Times had covered Auschwitz, I suppose they'd be telling us how dedicated the guards were, tirelessly working through the never ending lines of Jews.
I'm not sure which is more disgusting, a New York Times employee observing snipers targeting our military, or the lofty prose with which they are surrounding the pictures in a new book.
Absolutely revolting, all the way around.

You can chalk up Glenn Greenwald in the 'If I were working as a photographer covering the war, sure - I'd take photographs of guys killing US soldiers' school. He says as much in the comment thread on his post today.
Because he'd be just showin' war like it really is to the American people.
