Because for those on the Left who believe she is, there's typically a few of these lowlifes.

She does manage to let loose with a good one now and again. From Ann Coulter: "When is The New York Times going to get around to uncovering an al-Qaida secret program?"

Coulter is a paid journalist and should be held to a higher standard. "Digby" is just a nobody blogger like you who wasn't smart enough to become a real journalist and has an inflated sense of self-worth. Lumping a blogger with a journalist? I mean, L.O. fuckin' L!

Coulter is not a paid journalist, she is a a commentator! Big difference!
She is not paid to report the news, but states her opinion on it!

Coulter's brilliance is in her ability to manipulate the simple-minded into spending money to read her silly opinions. She certainly got an "A" in Demagoguery 101.

Please, not Coulter again. When is she/he going to get that Adam's apple taken care of? That thing is scarier than any of the drivel that spews out of her imaginary brain.

"[Fill in the blank]'s brilliance is in [appropriate gendered pronoun here] ability to manipulate the simple-minded into spending money to read [appropriate gendered pronoun here] silly opinions. [appropriate gendered pronoun here] certainly got an "A" in Demagoguery 101."
Brillians analysis, jamie.
This denunciation adequately applies to Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, whatsizname from Foxnews, Bill-something ... not to mention Al Franken, and ... sorry, I can't think of any popular left-wing pundits who've fooled anyone into reading their similar drivel and paying for it.

Didn't George Bush state on TV in late 2001 that our government was checking bank records of terrorists? I caught the very end of it the other night when some panel member wondered what all the fuss is about the NY Times when Bush had already said it a few years ago.

Aye. Point?
"some panel member wondered what all the fuss is about the NY Times when Bush had already said it a few years ago"
There's a huge difference between Winston Churchill giving a speech, saying, "We will fight them on the beaches" and giving the Nazis the plans for D-Day -- which called for fighting them on the beaches.
THAT'S the big deal.
