I found a video through a news outlet near Washago, ON. Apparently authorities were using nearby homes to stake out the homegrown Canadian terrorist group recently arrested since last December.
The group had approached townspeople inquiring about remote places to shoot and were often seen wearing camo in the town. The group was frequently heard shooting in the woods at night, some residents joked about them being with the Taliban.
While the camera doesn't go right on the property, it does film from the closest intersection. I identified the location by tracking back between Mapquest and Google. You can see a square within four roads which is where the area they trained is located. Unfortunately, the satellite resolution only goes down to three levels from the ground.
Some Washago residents are interviewed. According to the report, others are not coming on camera, in some cases because they are still involved in the investigation, in others, out of fear.
Update: If the Google Map link is resetting, simply click on the Washago Village Inn, close in the satellite view as close as you can go and slide map to the left in your screen with cursor. You'll see a square area identical to the inset at right but larger. You can go about 5 or 6 clicks up from the lowest satelite resolution.
TORONTO (AP) - Police said Monday more arrests are likely in an alleged plot to bomb buildings in Canada, while intelligence officers sought ties between the 17 suspects and Islamic terror cells in the United States and five other nations.
A court said authorities had charged all 12 adults arrested over the weekend with participating in a terrorist group. Other charges included importing weapons and planning a bombing. The charges against five minors were not made public.

Obviously a fake and a made up story. We have nothing to fear from the "religion of peace".

I am totally freaked out. I live less then 20 KM from this location. With so much rural area around, what is their connection to this place?

I've been racking my brains trying to find a connection to Washago. Washago is so small there is a liquor store, a hardwarestore and a few tourist type stores. The one thing that might be of interest is that the VIA rail passenger train also has a stop in Washago on its way to Toronto.

Here's another news story with a tour of the property and a interview with the property owner.

Wow... my mom JUST told me about this now. I remember the bust happening however I had no clue that I drove past the training camp EVERY weekend on my way to the cottage! That's crazy... it's 10 mins away. I'm definitely going to have to take a drive down Cronk and check it out. However there's probably no sign of the camp left since this was like 2 years ago.
