Of course the Army met its goal. They have increased incentives by like a gazillionfold. They know greed is the American way. And they are using that exact thing to entice people to join with their signing bonus etc. So sorry...I'm not surprised. Are you? Appears so.

Warren, my naive, simpletonic friend, being an American soldier in a modern American war is a safer proposition -- as statistics tell us -- than living in the inner city or playing a handful of "extreme" ""sports"".
For the pure rush of it, or the ability to kill strangers on their turf with [m/l] impunity, you'd have to wonder why, especially, the gangbangers don't join up at the first whiff of war. It'd be far safer for them in the long run, and they're already familiar with the tools. Must be something to do with switching uniforms.
