Update/Bumped: A little black man's justice for Kenedae? I don't think so.
WASHINGTON - Rep. Patrick Kennedy has reached a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to a charge of driving under the influence of prescription drugs in connection for his middle-of-the-night car crash last month near the U.S. Capitol.
Two additional charges of reckless driving and failure to exhibit a driving permit will be dismissed under the plea agreement reached with prosecutors.
"As congressman Kennedy has said all along, he will take full responsibility for his actions and that is what he is doing today," Kennedy's chief of staff, Sean Richardson, said Tuesday.
Besides, it'll thrill the hell out of John Conyers.
You know what they say. When life gives you lemons, pander shamelessly to your minority constituents by making lemonade a conservative would be pilloried for.

All I know is if you're going to take Ambien there are two simple rules.
1) Hide your car keys.
2) Don't mix with drugs and/or booze.
Follow these and you should get a very good night sleep.

Patrick just needs to go skiing. With any luck, we'll have one less Kennedy to read about.

[Ambien Rule #3: don't vote in Congress]

Didn't he ever learn in his various rehabs that Ambien and other over the counter CNS (central nervous system) drugs are no no? It's common for so-called recovering drunks to use such drugs. Some even use benedryl for its CNS effects. But hey!! it's over the counter!!! It's a common ruse thought up by alcoholics trying to appear to be nonusing. Bad news. It caught up with him. Will he learn his lesson? I doubt it. Maybe it'll be Nyquil next. Or perhaps massive Robitussin.

Nice deal and a sweet one too.
Laws are made to follow by only a few.

Damn, I wish I was a rich, white republican like the Kennedy's. Oh, wait a minute.............

Poor Patches- - just can't convince anyone of his sobriety after most recent retreading. Patches, Mayo is not a program of reparation; It's supposed to be a treatment program, where the cornerstone to sobriety is honesty to yourself and others. Some are unable to grasp this simple fact and will continue to suffer and create suffereing.

If he had been a rich white republican it would have never made it on the news and if it had, Dan would have been bitching how unfair he was being treated.

"Yeah, just like the one ole Rush got."
Let's diagram this brilliant comment. First, Rush is a talking head on radio. Kennedy is a US Congressman. 2nd Rush was busted for abusing prescription drugs........not for DRIVING while abusing prescription drugs and alcohol. Yep, James is absolutely correct. There is no difference between the two.

hehe.
Mayo's recovery program does not appear to be very successful. When I got sober it was with hard core druggies right out of prison. Me just out of high school. These x cons didn't pull punches when it came to sobriety. Had my folks been able to pay for Mayo, I would have never made it. I give Patches 9 days tops of sobriety. Come to Philly, I'll take you to a Stepping Stones meeting, where nobody gives a damn who you are, what you think you may be. They just want you sober.
