Canadian Terrorist's Managed To Hit One Target

In the context of the greater fight against terror, in which I include Iraq, Muslim extremism in general did manage to strike an inadvertent target with today's arrests. Islamofascism has shot itself in the foot.

One can almost hear the teeth gnashing within the MSM as all that great copy on Haditha goes to waste. It'll resurface. But the initial impact is gone. And for better or worse, Americans are going to have much less sympathy for a relatively small number of Iraqis, as they contemplate 3 tons of ammonium nitrate just north of the border in the hands of a group with at least some ties to two students in Georgia.

It isn't going to go a long way to buck up the open borders crowd, either. Today appears to have been a big win in the GWOT and a sound defeat for liberals in the MSM.

TORONTO (Reuters) - A group of Canadian residents arrested for "terrorism related offenses" had amassed enough explosives to build huge bombs and were planning to blow up targets around southern Ontario, Canadian police said on Saturday.

Mike McDonnell, assistant commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, said the group had acquired three tonnes of ammonium nitrate -- or three times the amount used in the 1995 bombing in Oklahoma City -- as they sought to "create explosive devices."

Most American are opposed to the war in Iraq for a variety of reasons:

1. They think that b/c Saddam destroyed, hid or shipped out his weapons the threat was gone. They don't realize he would have re-started the programs the moment the world turned its attention elsewhere.
2. They believe the MSM drumbeat lie that America is losing. (It's not)
3. They don't believe America can fight on two fronts at once- the Richard Clarke approach to terrrorism.
4. They don't undersatnd the long term importance of creating democracies in the M.E.
5. They just wish it would all go away.
7. Short attention span.
8. Rise of leftist moronism.
9. Rise of libertardianism.
