Because it's in the genes ... er, the reproduction statistics, perhaps?
Now if we could only learn to love our politicians!
Nevermind!

I have never watched an idol show. But you have to wonder if politicians were set up on stage as in american idol, how many more people would get out and cast a real vote for what matters.

Dan, I can see why you were pulling for the babe as she is very pretty and she really has a lovely voice, but the women went wild for Taylor this year. He is quite the character. Has a way of capturing the ladies attention. Kinda like "Elvis" did. LOL

There is a cruel irony left unmentioned by the above article. I'm afraid the numbers are too distinct to lie about this one. People with higher levels of education tend to plan their family size, those who lack education are more prone to spew forth children at random and in large quantities. Though the article suggests that liberal, atheistic elitists will breed (or rather fail to) themselves out of existence (a notion I find rather amusing), the horrifying truth is that knee-jerk reactionaries are born of ignorance, not education, and a population dominated by the poorly educated and scarcely articulate may be our nation's undoing. The liberals of the word are far less frightening to me than those vast hordes of future 'true-believers' who are swayed easily by the media of the moment. Then it will be a truly dark day for the tiny minority left with a capacity for higher thought.

How incredibly pessimistic Samayel's post was ! And reeking with the fear and hatred of religion that has increasingly marginalized the Democratic Party (you heard it here first. Furious voters who have no intention of paying the entitlement and social services costs of a quarter of Mexico just so the Democratic Party can get more welfarist voters are going to obliterate the House Democrats this November.).
Yes, having a child requires enormous optimism. And this requires religious faith. Belief in God is the strongest optimism there is, because it is to believe that no matter how much evil you have seen or suffered or done, Good is stronger. Truth is stronger. And there is Final Justice that no sociopath will ever be clever or connected enough to talk his way past.
