Michelle has a comprehensive report, with illustrations, on the Beltway Sniper story. Check it out.
For most people, the Beltway-area sniper case is a distant memory. Over and done. But in Montgomery County, Md., the pain and suffering caused by convicted killing spree murderers Lee Malvo and John Muhammad is as fresh and raw as it was three years ago when the pair terrorized the area--leaving 10 dead and three injured in their wake.

Sad thing is, some liberal lawyer will try to get Malvo off - using the "he's only 17" aurgument.
Both of the snipers deserve to die, slowly.

worked in the area during this and actually pass three or four of the locations where people got shoot. was stopped numerous times during searches in the dc area looking for the "box" truck. Malvo is already in prison for life, Muhammed to receive the death penalty from Virginia. This Maryland trial is for closure. Muhammed and Malvo shot both be shot to death by a firing squad, just so they know what their victims felt.

I live in MD and about 45 minutes away from Prince George's County, MD where some of the murders took place. My mom also lived in PG County at the time about 3/4 of a mile from the school where the child was shot. It is hard to describe the fear felt when so close to something so evil (and not knowing what or who that "something" is). I was devastated by 9-1-1 as I am sure most of us were and then this just a little over a year later. A very trying time -these two deserve life in prison.

Thanks for the link. The killings left this area in great fear and affected everyone. I was driving around Mont. Co. that day looking for the public school I was volunteering in. The killings were in quick succession. Later, there were several roadblocks that lasted forever. It was not a good idea to drive a white SUV and to be ordered out one evening by cops with guns drawn. Very frightening for my grandson who was in the vehicle- - - and had nightmares about what he did not understand.

Death penalty is not too stict for these two. This was not a random crime of passion, this was carefully planned out with the specical gun/trunk set up. These two were viscious feins and death penatly is appropriate.

I recall the day they were looking for a white van, which was reported at a gas station just a few blocks from my home. After all the hype, it ended up being two immigrants, who were then deported. It was a horrible, frightening time for everyone utilizing the belt-ways in this area. They were cold, calculating, killers. Malvo, while only being a young teen, certainly had the knowledge of right and wrong. No one turned him into a "monster"...he chose to be one and is just as responsible as Muhammad.

I live in this area and it was horrible. I remember driving in the country on the outskirts of a small Virginia town and seeing a man crouching while he filled his car with gas. These scum brought us all to our knees. After seeing that man brought it his, I cried all the way home. How dare anyone do this. And how shallow that rings when you think of the mother or wife or husband who got a visit from police to say: "Your loved one was shot in a parking lot. And, oh yeah, here are the groceries we picked up from the pavement."

The judge should let them both loose. She will tell them that their every move will be monitored by specially trained snipers who will have the right to pick the time, the place, and the day. The only guarantee is that they will die ... some day when they least expect it.
