Haven't we been down this road before?
Meanwhile, on Friday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov reiterated Moscow's commitment to supply Iran with sophisticated anti-aircraft missiles, local news agencies reported.
"If there are no extraordinary circumstances, it (the contract) will without doubt be fulfilled," Ivanov was quoted as saying.
Defense Ministry officials have previously said Moscow will supply 29 sophisticated Tor-M1 air defense missile systems to Iran under a $700 million (565 million Euros) contract, according to Russian media reports.

Ever wonder what would happen to all these third world brush wars....IF THE SUPER POWERS QUIT ARMING THE CHILDLIKE IDIOTS?

You know....when a large bomb goes off in moscow and people from Palestine to Chechnya go out in the streets throwing candy, dancing, and shooting their guns in glee.....then maybe, just maybe, the Russians will understand that helping these guys is just going to lead to those weapons being used against them.
Wise up Putin...and you too China....you are practicing diplomacy the way the US did in the cold war...undermine the other side. Today it doesn't work that way. Today, you are dealing with ideaology - islamofascists want your ass out of this world as much as they want ours. A bomb will go off in your country prior to one going off in ours.

So they will get 29 Tor M-1s. One anti-aircraft missile will take down one airplane and 1 or 2 crew members. Iran already has more than 10 Russian made Sunburn missiles. These are missiles that travel at mach 2+, carry a conventional 750lb payload and can be outfitted with a nuclear warhead if desired. Programmed to target one of the ships in the Gulf, one missile can kill from one thousand to two thousand sailors in one hit because of its accuracy and stealth, traveling three feet above the water at such speed that the best radar detection equipment the US has can only detect it at about 30 seconds before impact. Now, what were we saying about those anti-aircraft missiles?

Putin was once working with Bush...something happened in their relationship since 9/11. Remember Putin at Crawford in the pickup truck?
I have read where the soviets helped take the WMD's from Iraq to Syria...of course this is unconfirmed. What is apparent is that Russia is involved in the Middle East in ways that appear against our best interests...money is talking I am afraid.
