Murder, Kidnapping Alleged In Holloway Arrest

Holloway suspect worked in hotel

The Utrecht police made an arrest last wednesday in the case of missing Natalee Holloway. It concerns an Aruban youngster who worked as a croupier in the hotel where the American student stayed.

The arrestee is held in Utrecht and suspected of kidnapping and murder. His lawyer Spong will try to prevent his extradiction to Aruba with summary proceedings.

In june last year, a month after Natalees disappearence, the suspect came to the Netherlands. He had already been questioned several times. He is a friend of Joran van der Sloot, who had been incarcerated for some time as the prime suspect in this case.

In the main two news shows in the Netherlands, the NOS News and the RTL News it was reported tonight that an arrest was made in the Natalee Holloway case. The suspect who was arrested in the Netherlands is being charged with murder. According to his lawyer Gerard Spong he is being charged with the severest accusation known in Dutch criminal law. His first name is said to be Guido and he's acquainted with Joran van der Sloot. Guido worked as a croupier in one of the hotel casinos on the island when Natalee disappeared. He was questioned several times by the Aruban police force before he traveled to the Netherlands. In the Netherlands he was also questioned by the Dutch police.

i also thought that an hospital incinerator did not exist after it was talked about last year. however, i have seen since learned that there was one at the time natalee went missing.

Yes Kate, at the Doctor Horacio Oduber Hospital. I just wondered if there could be any person with a connection to some one higher up in the hospital that could help out a 'friend'in trouble....just thinking out loud, not stating I know this for a fact.

OK, here from Aruba, with the DIARIO on my desk. Sorry for repeating anything said above. Everything below from DIARIO. Guido is the son of a politician, was working at HI casino last year at the time the case started. He lives in Holland, has been questioned numerous times in the past related to this case. According to DIARIO, his lawyer has said he is suspected to be an accomplice to the murder, battery, and kidnapping of NH. Diario says he is a friend of Joran, tennis buddies, and frequented casinos with Joran. His lawyer is reported to be the BEST in Holland, and by the way I have heard the name of this lawyer before, years ago, so this bit in the Diario is not just rumor. Lawyer insists he is innocent.

And the son of Aruban secretary of the Health Department is also Guido Wever, but they are not the same person. There is indeed a funeral home that is called Zepp Wever and they are not related to this Guido Wever. Just f.y.i.

I don't think Joran will be cleared. If you look at the charges against Wever, they are for being an "accomplice" to the murder, heavy battery, and kidnapping of Natalee Holloway.

This could just mean that he was giving phoney alibi's like Croes in order to cover for his buddy Joran.

I think its pretty clear...as does Chief Dompig....that Joran is 'guilty as hell'. It really coming down to who participated with him.

Don't forget Paulus' role in this whole matter. He is an accomplice too. md

Seems to me that common crook(s) or criminal(s) would have tripped up by now and that evidencde would have surfaced to solve or at least prosecute this case....but then again if the people who committed the crime are good at recognizing evidence and well you can figure it out from here....... A judges son and if you believe his lawyer an honor student can't remember how he got home and changed his story (he doesn't lie according to his lawyer) and because of these changing lies a girl continues to go missing and now another person's life is about to get churned and burned.....how many people have to have their lives ruined before the truth about NH is revealed?

So a croupier is the person who pays out money and takes bets. Was this guy 18 then? Do you have to be 18 to be croupier in Aruba?

We have accused HI security guards, arrested a judge, arrested the judges son, arrested the son of a security agency based on the testimoney of the police cheifs (Dompig) son..arrested a friend of the judges son and his brother and we have arrested the a DJ and party boat operator, also a friend of the judge's son and friends. Now ALE has arrested another friend of the judges son who worked at the Casino where the judges underage son was allowed to gamble. This latest arrest is a person who left the Island soon after the disappearance of Natalee. Other people to have left the island soon after NH disappearance are the former Police Supt and his son.

Is this new suspect also related to Arlene?

No matter how bizzare this case gets, it still centers around "people" who operated in LE, Laws, and security. How strange, how strange indeed. My spidey senses tell me that Stephen Croes had better have a lawyer and quick...

Yep James Gandolfini might play the role of a Judge whose son is last seen with a vacationing high school girl. The Judge then calls Uncle Junior over and they have this talk.....13 episodes later, we find out what happened to the vacationing teen.....

Guido has hired not a good Lawyer but by many people's claims, Hollands best laywer, certainly one of the the top three. Now to innocent rich people hire the best lawyer to make this go away? Perhaps.

Maybe the JK2 need to be re-arrested and asked some pointed questions about Stephen Croes, GVC and Guido. Then the Croes, GVC and Guido should be asked some pointed questions about JK2. Me thinks the right questions will get this case solved?

How about Joe Taco? Has he convinced his client to stop being macho and point the finger at the real perps? Joe Taco knows how to win, and he is capable of knocking some sense into Joran if Joran is covering.

Skyboxx, this seems another fishing expedition. It's another "suspect" in a suspected crime. Wouldn't you hate another innocent (as in the first 2 arrested) being held in jail?
J2K won't be brought back without evidence, and Joran said he simply won't say anything because ALE wants to pin it on him. There isn't much ALE can do to J2K now; they know they have to keep their mouths shut.

The charges were "assisting" in heavy battery, kidnapping, and murder. It does not say he was the only one. Now, exactly who is it that he helped ? How many more ? Someone is talking it would seem. Wonder if they are going to bring back in some fo the other ones. This case is like a whirlwind. This latest arrest does not take the heat off Joran, Deepak and Satish, Steve Croes, Paulus or any of the rest of the ones that have been arrested.

Its just so frustrating. In the case of Elizabeth Smart, who was returned, the perpertrator was a nomad sleeze bag, in the death of John Walsh kid, it was a sleaze bag, in the case of Megan (Megan's law) it was a sleaze bag,

But in this case, all ALE has come up with is A judge, a judges son, the judges son's two friends, a DJ/Party boat operator friend of the two friends, a son of a high level security outfit and sister to ALE officer, and now a son of prominent family (also reportedly a cousin to Arlene (not confirmed)

Why are we dealing with prominent people from the island? Why aren't we trying to find the sleaze bags that did this? Or are they one in the same?

If you continue with this I will believe it myself, there are only 3 funerals homes in Aruba, there is no room for more i think.
You can ride in a car from the largest point from one to the other in one hour.
I suppose a funeral home can have a permission for a crematoriom if one day there is the demand for it, they already have it. They can be also a member of international organizations that can have them inlisted in that way, i don't know.
If there is a crematoruim in Aruba, you bet 100.000 people will know that, but you have to take off the childeren, but i don't know how much they are.

Orenjadgt Aruba...Aruban Law Enforecment today announed they have arrested Joran Van Der Sloots School teacher and a former Nanny of JVS. ALE said "they too, once knew JVS" and that is grounds for arrest in the disappearance of NH. Meanwhile, JVS too younger brothers have retained legal counsel to renounce that they ever "knew" JVS. Said a spokesman for the brothers, "Yes they lived and grew up in the same house, but NO, they actually did NOT know each other, strange as it sound."

Aruban authorities have also set up a hot line where you can call one of two phone numbers. One number if you KNOW JVS, one number if you don't. No word on which hot line is being used the most.

Finally tourism continues to plumment on the small self governed proterctorate of Holland. ALE denies any connection with their inabilithy to solve the case of the missing Alabama teen. They are however looking to find someone else to arrest, just to keep the ARuba name in the press as popularity falls for this tiny island nation

There have been arrest after arrest and release after release but one thing remains the same. That in most arrest it all comes back To Jvds.
Are there still some out there that believe he has nothing to do with this? False alibi's , And the famous statement " I don't know the other
suspects", Ya right give me a break. Accidental death or planned Joran is up to his neck in it. Someone in the previous arrest know what happen even if they had no active involvement. I feel they are getting close and
this may shake up the others. Hope for the best...
